Terrific pub, great ale choices, a friendly welcome and we had really good fish and chips.

A very nice pub atmosphere with lovely food and a good selection of drink. The staff were very polite and friendly. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. I understand that they have live music and quizzes; even more of an excuse to return. The home cooked lasagna was really very enjoyable, as was my pint of London Pride.

Excellent friendly service, great pub food, the sizzling duck is very popular. I had the katsui curry which was delicious, mom had the venison bourgnigon which she enjoyed tremendously just couldn't eat it all. Its a great local pub with a very welcoming atmosphere, serving the best home cooked food - I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Next stop is the Sunday lunch when we can

Lovely place, beautifully lost in time. Christmas decorations are tastefully done and the place feels cosy and welcoming.Food was nice.vegan burger, lovely patty.Katsu chicken cury reported as divine and the sizzling chicken gorgeous, don't touch for few minutes as hot hot hot.

Food and staff were amazing!!Only didn't get 5 star because it is a bit pricey. Therefore, I wouldn't visit it as often as I would like to.I don't have pics of food because it was too good ! So I didn't want to stop eating to take a picture !I would highly recommend this place. Especially for special occasions.Car park is very tight to get into, but not much they can do about that. But they do have one round the back, which is easy to miss from main road on first drive past.

Yesterday I went there for lunch with a friend of mine.Very nice pub, very nice staff, clean toilets and good outside seating area.Pub has a nice feel and good atmosphere.Good selection of beers.Lunch: I had the Venison Bourguignon with a selection of veg, my friend had the Blue Burger served with chips.Food was very tasty and satisfying.Pudding: Now comes the reason why only 4 stars. We both opted for the Apple and Rhubarb CRUMBLE 🤔 served with custard.I’m old school, remember those crumbles that your Granny used to make, heaven in a dish 😃To me a CRUMBLE has a crunchy topping made the old way.Even though the desert tasted good, apple and rhubarb with a flat soggy like pastry topping isn’t a CRUMBLE.Looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch there.

Great atmosphere and yummy food! We went on a Sunday and there was live music. The roast dinner was so good …loads of veg and potatoes, and amazing gravy! Also fab with the kids, colouring books and games for them! Staff were friendly and quick service!
