My friend and I came for dinner this evening and were served by Phil (and the team). Food and service were brilliant. We very much enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back! Phil's humour was particularly excellent, thank you for an excellent evening! There was a minor hiccup which was more than understandable given they are a brand new team. It was dealt with promptly and professionally so really can't fault the service at all.

Extremely disappointed..A place we have supported previously with family celebrations and Xmas.Turning up at 7.30 we were informed the kitchen closes at 7.45 despite the website clearly displaying 9.30The staff priority seemed to prioritise clearing away and re-setting tables over serviceDespite a table being available in the serviced restaurant we were seated in the bar areaA simple Cod & Chips came out so dry and burnt it was inedible. To the new Managers of 2 days who took great pride in stating they brought the chef with them… I wish you all the best, it would be a real shame to see another previously good pub/ restaurant run into the ground and closedThanks for taking my inedible meal off the bill it was a pleasure watching my girl eat

Friendly and efficient staff, very attentive from when we got in the door through to getting the bill. Food was very good too, great portion sizes. Would recommend the steak and ale pie, very tasty!

For an old forest pub that we have visited many times over 30 year's, we were greeted by uncleared tables surrounded by cigarette buts, butter wrappers etc. It had a limited menu but we made our choice, ordered our drinks and then the food to include three burgers, (from a choice of five) only to be told, with attitude, that they had no buns and they didn't serve food outside, in the glorious sunshine. So we drank our drinks and left through a gate that wouldn't open wide enough to get the pushchair through. Its put us off returning for an enjoyable lunch, or evening meal.

Great pub, nicely situated on the South Edge of Burley, food was excellent and reasonable priced, the Staff were polite which added to the pubs atmosphere, easily the best place in the Village.

Fantastic service, we were well looked after and although warned there may be a little wait as a large table all the food came in good time and was delicious. Pies went down well as they were true pies with pastry all the way round. Pretty good value too. Have shared a more up to date menu and a picture of the sharing camembert that we particularly enjoyed.

Love this pub. They have a big outdoor space and lots of space inside an amazing building that has great features. Including this gorgeous fire place. Staff were super lovely and the menu accommodates a variety of special diets, vegan, gluten free, veggie etc. Portions are great and food is delicious. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub, with a huge garden area. The roast was massive and one of the best pub roasts I have had in long time, everything we had was cooked will with Good options for the kids. Service although happy was a bit slow but overall definitely a recommendation.

We booked a table and visited on a Saturday. Necessary at the moment during the pandemic. They do a good lunch time deal Monday to Saturday till 4pm. It was a shame they seemed to have run out of at least three of the menu items though and it was only just 1pm. However still enjoyed our food. Good vegetarian options. Staff were friendly. Would have given 5 stars if they had both the stater and main option I originally chose.

Our favourite watering hole when visiting The New Forest. The food is always first class (and reasonably priced), the staff always super friendly and professional and, most importantly, my favourite Cider on draft! (Aspalls if you're asking). Great ambience and they're all doing really well to make it work since the change in Covid restrictions so, at least, the pub can be enjoyed again from the outside.
