The red lion is a good pub situated around the New forest. I popped in with a friend after some work on a farm to have some lunch. The lunch menu was very reasonably priced given the of the pub. I had a sausage and fried onion Baguette with chips which Costa fair £10.Being a brewery pub they had forty niner on tap and ringwood best better.I wouldn't make a special trip out there from Bournemouth but wouldn't have any issue stopping in if in the area.

If you don't mind paying £16 for fish and chips and the same for ham egg and chips then this is the place for you. Nice staff but way too expensive for Weatherspoon type meals. For six of us the total bill was a wapping £175 for ordinary food and overpriced beer and wine. But that seems to be typical for most pubs and restaurants in the New Forest.

Delighted with our dinner in a cold winter night we found a warm and welcoming place. Food was outstanding, congrats to the chef on a great feast of genuine and very well cooked produces. I enjoyed the defined flavours of my peppers and potatoes soup and steak pie with fresh veg, plus no mess with sauces of any sort. Young and super attentive service team. Highly recommended.

Enjoyable sunday lunch. Both the beef and fish were good. Meat was tender. Staff were friendly and checked we had what we needed.

Great little pub and restaurant. Managed to get us booked in at short notice. Food looked amazing and also tasted delicious. The portion of onion rings is excessive! I think i got a whole onion! But they were really good. They are keeping to distancing where possible, though they didn't take our names for check and trace.Would visit here again.
