The Red Shoot in New Forest

We visited as a pre-arranged work event and had a buffet style lunch. The team were very accommodating and it was easy to arrange for a large number. A beautiful setting and the food was perfect for our group of hungry cyclists! Would highly recommend as a great stop on a cycle ride or walk.

I had heard great reviews about the red shoot, especially the roast dinners. Two of us had a roast dinner which was lovely at the time. Fast forward a few hours later and we were both very unwell with food poisoning. Very disappointed as we’d been looking forward to going. Wont be returning again.

Although very busy on the Easter BH weekend then the staff were attentive and accommodating. The Sunday roast was quick to arrive and a good sized portion, so we did not mind that the Yorkshire pudding was missing. A lovely location in the New Forest with enchanting surrounding walks.

It was a good lunch, bit light on the chips which were very good though. The fish cake needed a few chips as an accompaniment. Well served lovely staff super location.

We visited for lunch on Easter Sunday with our two large dogs. Just to say a huge thank you to the land lady for giving us a table away from other dogs. We had a lovely meal and we'll definitely be back soon. Also bar staff were very friendly.

One slightly lost cyclist Stopped for a pint and directions. Got a few laughs when When I said I was trying to get back to Bournemouth particularly as the Sun was going down. But a friendly welcome help me on my way, good beer and Nice people. Thanks for your help. Got back safely.

As always a lovely visit to this fantastic pub. The staff were great, and very helpful, and the food was delicious. Located in the New Forest, with it's dog friendly atmosphere, it is the perfect place to start, or finish a walk.

We really enjoyed coming across this forest pub. It's was full of atmosphere and cosy knooks. The food was excellent and the staff were willing to ensure you had great service. We will be back. .

Second visit to here, after accidentally coming across this awesome place a few years back while visiting the New Forest. What a little gem it is an hasn't changed a bit, the food is still delicious & the staff friendly and polite, will be back again next time in the New Forest
