The Snakecatcher in New Forest

Lovely pub and great food. Was staying down the road at Carey’s manor for a wedding last week and popped in here for food and a couple of drinks one evening. I have to say it was the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back there.

we had a really nice experience at the snake catcher, I've not had to cook my food before on a hot stone. but was really fun. Food was great, service was lovely and would def go back. we went with 2 kids, 5 adults and a dog.

Came for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and sat in the back garden at the waitress’s recommendation. And it was a great choice.We ordered the Fish Basket for 2 which was so substantial and very delicious despite how busy the pub was.Staff were all very friendly, would definitely come back.

Nice friendly staff (especially the barman/cocktail maker). Was very busy but they managed to get us a table when we arrived without a booking. Good choice of ales and cocktails. Food was pretty good too, although maybe a bit expensive, but you pay for the location so not overly concerned. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Well what can we say, stayed in Brockenhurst March 11 to 13th Fabulous weekend, food was Amazing, Staff very Friendly, Great Pub, lovely outside area Definitely worth a visit 😁👍

A perfect stopping point on a cycle ride. I was having a beautiful day out on the bike and this was a welcome pit stop for some lovely food and ciders

Brilliant service exquisite food and a wonderful relaxed country pub atmosphere. Me and the wife are extremely picky with food and service l. We have been here time and time again now and really enjoy it. Highly recommend the steak menu as you get to cook it yourself on the stone to your own liking! Brilliant experience.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly, warm and inviting (with a real Christmas Tree).Polite, efficient table service and absolutely delicious meal.......I had the pie of the day which was steak and ale, served with chips and steamed veg, the steak in the pie was melt in your mouth and the gravy perfect 👍😋 my son had a burger, chips and coleslaw and my friend had ham, egg and sweet potato fries both were highly complimentary about their meals too.

Other pubs might want to up their game. Great pub. Gets busy early for a reason. Food is outstanding - particularly the hot stones for the meat you can cook your way. Good selection of drinks, loads of friendly staff, lovely outdoor areas. Couldn't want for more really. Will be visiting again.
