The Thatched Cottage in New Forest

Had afternoon tea via a buy a gift gift voucher. Extremely generous helpings of jam and cream with the lovely scones, two with fruit two without. Cakes were good and sandwiches were superb, with again generous fillings especially the smoked salmon, really fresh too. Lovely old thatched cottage with outdoor seating for when the weather permits. Definitely recommend.

To celebrate my 61st birthday I decided to stay away from home for one night only and stayed at Thatched Cottage Hotel. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by their friendly and accommodating Manager called HUW. He is a very knowledgeable man, he gave us a lot of information about different brand/types of gins during our gin flight tasting. The en-suite room was very beautiful cosy and quaint. And our breakfast this morning is absolutely wonderful, thank you to the chefs. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Thatched Cottage Hotel for making my birthday a wonderful experience.

I was gifted a voucher for this lovely hotel and used the voucher on an afternoon tea. The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious! Perfect little spot for afternoon tea/lunch/drink in the garden.

Staff are a lovely, pretty location and a vast gin selection, staff take pride in knowing about the gins too, which is really helpful.We also came for afternoon tea and it was lovely. Perfect place to enjoy the sunshine.

Ideal spot for short break with a friend & dog. Beautifully equipped Garden Suite perfect. Nice breakfast, great cream tea & the staff were so helpful & friendly. And box of treats for the dog!

Thank you so much for the most amazing stay at your hotel! We’ve never stayed anywhere so welcoming before, every single staff member you have are all so kind and lovely! Breakfasts are lovely with high quality ingredients, really loved it, everything was gorgeous!! We popped into the gin bar and had a ‘gin flight’ each, also amazing and we learnt so much about each gin too. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to come back! The three of us (two humans and our dog) had a lovely stay at the Thatched Cottage Hotel.We stayed in one of the historic rooms, which was clean and cosy, and retained all the historic features of the original cottage.The manager was very accommodating to our dog (despite him being a bit naughty at times!).The breakfast was very tasty indeed, with items prepared to order from a menu.The gin bar/tasting was a lovely addition.Overall we'd very much recommend the hotel for a New Forest getaway.Only negative we could think of was the weather!

We've just returned from a five night stay at the Thatched Cottage hotel. I can't recommend it highly enough.The breakfast was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was spotlessly clean and covid protocols made us feel safe.It's a great place for exploring the local area. We went in lovely walks, visited the New Forest Wildlife Park and had day trips to Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight.I'd definitely recommend trying out the gin bar in the evening too.Thanks for a lovely holiday. We'll be back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Thatched Cottage Hotel this week. We'd booked a Travelzoo voucher including one nights stay, a gin tasting flight and breakfast the following morning. The hotel itself was lovely, the rooms were extremely cosy and cute and everything taken care of. The gin tasting was sublime, as was the breakfast - one of the best I've had. Would thoroughly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

On arrival we were greeted with polite and friendly staff. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and decorated in fitting with the cottage.We booked the gin tasting and was offered 3 generous glasses of gin to sample. Again, the staff were knowledgeable and professional.Breakfast was perfect. Nothing is too much trouble and .the seating area is decorated with taste. We were made to feel welcome every moment we were there. Highly reccomend this gem of a getaway stay. We will definately be booking again
