Toby Carvery Hinton in New Forest

We have been here a few times now. Staff friendly, there are plenty of tables, the resturant is clean and spacious. We have always found the food to be nice with plenty of choice. Unfortunately I think the cost is starting to get too expensive. Over £12 for the carvery for an adult so with 2 adults and 2 children and one round of soft drinks we paid nearly £50 and this is with no starters or puddings. Most families won't beable to afford this I'm sure.

Would be nice if toast was available behind the counter and you collected at the same time you got your breakfast. Because......If you queue for toast then its cold by the time you queue for your breakfast. If you queue for breakfast its cold by the time you queue for your toast.....This is why it got 4 stars.Also one more item would be nice......fried bread.Lovely clean place and staff very helpful.

This is our favourite place for no nonsense grub. You can pile your plate high and stuff your boat race to your hearts content. Staff always lovely and attentive as usual and nothing is too much trouble. Shame Mario wasn't in as my kids love him.

Booked a table for our 4th wedding anniversary. Was expecting a nice relaxing meal with my family, not a fast dinner experience. We was rushed into ordering our drinks. Then when we wanted to have starters 1st we was rushed into having our main, as we was still feeding our toddler.When we did get out main course as we put it in our plate, some of the food was taken away from the buffet counter, even tho we was told we can get as much veg as we like.Online it says the restaurant closed at 11pm. We was rushed to eat by 8:15pm, by 8:30pm there was nothing left for a seconds. Everything is done and looked at online.I explained to the manager I dont like to complain and we had no complaints against the lady who was serving us. We was giving a discount after explaining our grievances with the restaurant, of £4:45.I hope the staff of this restaurant never have a bad time on there special occasion when they go to eat somewhere....

I'm not really one to complain about places but my daughter went for lunch today with a friend but was disappointed in her experience. She said that all the cutlery on her table was dirty with dried on food stuck in between the fork tines and she could not swap with others as they were in the same condition. She also said that the serviettes were also dirty. Being only 17, she did not feel brave enough to ask for clean replacements so they had to try and clean them off as much as possible. She enjoyed the carvery apart from the Yorkshire puddings; they were crispy on top but raw at the bottom which was full of oil and not pleasant. Disappointed as we have always had good service in the past

Went for carvery lunch today. Food OK but waiter was very obnoxious. We had a voucher so I asked if there was anything on the menu that was not included or available. He told me in a very sarcastic way to read the terms and conditions. However when it came to paying the bill he was very polite and attentive. HE DIDN'T GET A TIP 😝

Not to busy when we were here so service was quick, plenty of choice and very hot. We're offered more vegetables if we could eat more, well pleased with the service. Can not wait to go again.

Cheap place to eat out and staff are always friendly. Looks like the Christmas party at Toby is becoming a yearly occurrence.

Host was exceptionally helpful as it was our first time at TC. The food from the menu was delicious and served quickly. Pricing is fantastic! Definitely recommend and will go again. Inside and outside seating available. Clean modern toilets. Generous parking available for free on site.

We stopped here on the way to the coast for an early breakfast, £4.99 each (30 for four including juice and coffee ).We didn't have high hopes as it is a common chain but the breakfast was superb, everything you could want served quickly and easily with friendly staff, the food was fresh, recently cooked and to a high standard.Teenagers went back for seconds and we got much more than we could expect for less than a fiverHighly recommended for an all you can eat breakfast, not fine dining of course but of its type - one of the best.
