Turfcutters Arms in New Forest

Unfortunately, the hamburger that 3 of us ( a party of 6) ordered, was very unsatisfactory. Too dense, unlike the many good hamburgers I've had all my life. The fish n' chips were rated good/ tasty by one of our party.

Friendly country pub. Hadn't booked but they found us a table next to the open fire which was most welcome on a damp day. Home cooked food was tasty and portions were very generous. Very satisfied customers!

So pleased I came across this pub. All the staff were lovely and I had a great lunch sat in the garden while making the most of the sunny weather. I had the best fish and chips I have ever tasted and it was a pleasure to find an unpretentious pub serving delicious food

We stayed there in one of 3 rooms it was awesome. wild horses outside the door and the countryside it's beautiful. The food was awesome and huge portions and booze was just as good! Highly recommend 👌

A gorgeous area of the New Forest, so such a shame that pub was very underwhelming. The garden was a complete dump, and not a pleasant place to be. Food was also found to be very mediocre. Somewhere that we will be staying clear of in future.

Been a few times for the winter set menu, really good value and delicious. The venison on crushed potatoes was my favourite but also the homemade soap is fantastic too.

Having been recommended this pub by some friends, we thought we’d take a visit for some lunch. However a rude member of staff made our minds up and we went elsewhere.

Lovely village pub with great atmosphere, roaring fires, RAF memorabilia. Great food , very reasonable too. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs. Our dog settled very quickly and enjoyed s few titbits of roast chicken!

A group of ladies and myself did the walk from the turfcutters and 5 miles later was back at the pub having a lovely lunch. Very homely and great food. We will be back Simon!

Very accommodating for a group of 6 plus dogs. Waited a little for main meals but kept us informed and worth the wait when it arrived. Chocolate brownie particularly good 👍
