We booked lunch after reading a review on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The food was well presented and some of the aperitifs played with your perception, as they were not what your eyes told you they were. Very theatrical! The other fish dishes were excellent as well.Service was amazing considering the limited size of the kitchen. They were so well organised. What a pleasure!

Verveine is a top class establishment. Myself and girlfriend visited on weekend and were blown away. Love the fishmongers in the front with restaurant in the back, feels casual and understated. The 3 course tasting menu was reasonably priced with absolutely incredible food, refined and delicious. Very unique dishes and combinations with extensive wine list to go with it. Staff and chefs were very welcoming and friendly with perfect service. Will be top of the list when I come back to New Forest.

Wow what a little gem. This was a recommend, we drove 2 hours to experience the tasting menu and I'm so glad we did. What an experience. Service was impeccable and the food was fresh, tasty and clever. I can't actually say which was my favourite dish, they all had a twist of some kind and every mouthful was an expericne in itself. We will definitely be back!

outstanding quality and value. Super helpful staff who really know their stuff and add to the experience with advice and expertise. Short menus but every mouthful a memorable one. We have been before and it always delivers meals we long to return for.

In the background was vintage Ac/DC pumping out hits one after the other. We selected a 6 course menu which came with two amuse bouche, and a paired 5 wine package (£110). Three starters were inventive but subtle, often sweet, low on salt, acid and spice. Not very special. The grilled halibut with kale, however, was sublime. It came with soy-soaked macroalgae and crisp slightly vinegary lotus root slices. A Yuzu puree on the side provided lovely yuzu flavour but disappeared in the mix. In fact everything was over-powered by the salty soy-drenched seaweed. All this dish needed was the fish, kale and lotus root. Deserts started with a salty licorice caramel something. The second was Indian Kulfi flavoured scoop of ice cream next to a chocolate mousse with orange rind. Tasty though I would have been content with the kulfi and some berries. The wines were interesting and generally well made, though I would not describe any of them as special. Overall it’s a four thanks to the superb halibut but with plenty of room for further improvement.

Lovely warm welcome by staff and chefs into the venue. Care and presentation of the food was fantastic. The decoration and ambience was perfect. My wife and I came here without a booking but the staff were accommodating. Best lunch we’ve ever had when we chose off the 3 course lunch menu. My wife ordered a mock tail which was refreshing and light. We look forward to returning. We enjoyed the food and experience so much, I only remembered to take one picture of our dessert.
