"We are a family run business which takes pride in offering home cooked, good quality locally sourced food at reasonable prices. The Wheatsheaf Inn offers a range of real ales, lagers, soft drinks and food in the midst of Old Milton, located approximately one mile from the sea front of Barton-on-Sea. We have a large beer garden, barbeque area, secluded decking area and children's play area situated behind the pub with an extensive car park located to the side. We offer a weekly quiz night every Wednesday, a disco each Friday and live music Saturdays. The Wheatsheaf is proud to also be dog and child friendly."

Visited to watch the rugby on Saturday with family to celebrate my birthday . Staff were really welcoming to us in our strange fancy dress and the kids. Even supplied doughnuts! Thank you for an excellent afternoon!

Went for lunch food was luke warm, vegetables under cooked as a chef myself was wondering if the chef had the day off ? If not maybe he needs more training? Not had a roast dinner thsy bad for years! Great pub though will give it another try next time we are down in this neck of the woods.

Drink only on this occasion. Friendly and inviting. Ate here previously, food very good no complaints, excellent value for money.

It was very nice, real ales on tap were good, and tasted really good, would of liked to stay longer, but perhaps next time.

Friendly staff. Food ok. But don't go for the pie. Definitely not as shown in picture lol. £11 not worth the price.

Good service, lovely burger and decent pint of Doom Bar, I'm happy I popped in for lunch on my way to the Hourglass.

Visited on a Monday evening for a carvery...and wow what a meal. Loads of veggies, a sausage, cauliflower cheese and tons of turkey and gammon. Reasonable price for meals and the kids got ice cream included. The staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly. Was a really pleasant visit and if you need a good hearty carvery this is probably the best I've ever had. So good we left a little tip!

Staff were absolutely amazing. Super friendly and helpful. However, once we'd ordered food (and eaten it) that was it. No one came to check back on us. Okay, I understand not everywhere does that, but our plates were on the table for over 45 minutes after we'd finished. We even stacked them to make it easier, being in the industry ourselves. Having said that, the food was so delicious I'm only taking off one star as you really should try this place. I wanted to take a picture of my beautifully presented meal but sadly lacked the self control to not eat it straight away.

Great value carvery. The food is always well cooked and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Worth booking a table if you are dining on a Sunday evening.
