White Tails in New Forest

A really superb meal. I don't usually eat a 3 course meal, but everything was so delicious I just wanted to enjoy it all. The sea bass was divine. Service was very personal and special. Would definitely recommend.

Starters, Mains & Drinks super quick out the kitchen taste was okay, wanted more drinks in between but only one person on the floor very poor attentiveness and could never get attention of the waiter as busy with all other tables, one extra person on the floor would have been perfect otherwise! Such a shame

Visited here whilst staying in the adjacent hotel this week.Excellent food in a fabulous location. Owner personally runs this restaurant with a passion for food and exemplary service. Chef is first class. Many diners were clearly repeat customers which says it all. Don’t forget to book ahead as it fills up quickly!

Came here yesterday and thought it was excellent. The service was top notch and the food was bang on point. I would highly recommend

We arrived for our meal on a Saturday eve, but were greeted with ‘you do not have a reservation, all my customers are here.’ Showed the gentleman our confirmation of the booking and it was then acknowledged that he had made a mistake to process it, but there was no actual apology at that time. We were then informed that they have no space for us but we could sit in an unprepared side room (on our own). Caught off guard we went in and sat down. We were then left alone for a fair few minutes, wondering what to do. The gentleman reappeared with menus and a wine list, plonked them down and quickly said he had to deal with the people already seated and still did not apologise about his massive mistake. There was no ‘I’m very sorry please let me get you a drink’ or ‘ I will be with you in a moment to see what we can sort out.’Sitting there absolutely furious as to what was happening, we decided to leave.I text to say how let down we felt, with his reply being-“since I had people who were booked before you and arrived at the same time as you, I had to serve them first, apologies for my mistake”.This was the only apology!At eight o’clock at night, it left us unable to go anywhere for what was intended to be a special occasion dinner.Really not good enough at all!

Varied and tasty menu, very reasonable prices. Salmon cannelloni was delicious, would recommend this as a starter. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, I had requested something chocolate and was so happy that they made a chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend and will visit again next time we visit Brockenhurst New Forest

We had a fantastic meal at White Tails last Friday. The restaurant setting is really nice and inviting, and the staff are very friendly. As a table of three, we enjoyed the soup of the day, glazed goats cheese and scotch eggs for starters, and lamb shank and pork loin for main. We had lemon meringue and creme brulee for dessert. All dishes were cooked and presented perfectly. We would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the New Forest area.

Really beautiful food. We had the scotch egg, the stroganoff (with beef), and the creme brulee and lemon roulade. Everything was super fresh and skilfully cooked, the portions exactly right. We also loved the atmosphere - from decor to music, and the host was very friendly and gave us recommendations. We felt very safe with regards to covid measures, and cannot wait to return and taste more of the menu!
