Beefeater Grill - The Longwall in Oxford

My Steak wasn't cooked, was stone cold in the middle, got them to replace it. Also Wifes was supposed to be well done, was burnt to a crisp and red in the middle. Not good

We waited for food for a long time. Staff were rude, asking us if we’re finished with our place while we were clearly still eating ( I had food on my plate, piece of meat on my fork and about to take a bite). It’s not expensive but feels overpriced for bad quality food.

Cant fault the breakfast, but steak was overpriced, lamb was more bone and gristle, very hit and miss and poor value for money. Friendly staff. Expect more quality for the prices charged.

This was soo bad booked a table for 6 30 there in time my partner myself 12yr old and 2yr we ordered at 6.45. 7.45 came round no food still but yet everybody else that was arriving after us had there's. I asked the waiter who looked at me said I don't know and walkway totally out of order and rude. 8pm still know food so in the end we uped and left with nothing wouldn't recommend and I'd sack that ignorant waiter.

Worst beefeater I have been to and I have visited many. First off walking in and being seated there was mess all around one of the tables which wasn't nice to look at and was left the entire time, had to wait a while to be offered any drinks. I asked for my fillet steak to be medium and it came out burnt and my partners steak was practically still mooing. After complaining, I was cooked another steak which came and couldn't even be cut down the middle it was so fatty and tough, which you can tell if a steak has a lot of fat while raw so they shouldnt have served that piece in the first place, as you don't expect it to be tough when it's a fillet! Yes my meal was knocked off the bill however I sat there eating chips and peas for dinner and most of the chips were raw too. I would understand if they were busy but the restaurant was deserted. Didn't taste like a beefeater it tasted like a weatherspoons with the prices of a beefeater. Polite staff and very apologetic which I appreciate but looking at some other reviews on here they need to start making improvements as they will loose customers.

Had a Fillet Steak - the worse meal I have ever had!! The triple cooked chips were no more than frozen Iceland value chips, rocket salad amounted to 5 sprigsStill waiting for my glass of red wine to drink with my meal

Clean, friendly staff and food was good. Always a warm welcome when we go, it's local for us so we meet family there often

As luck would have it, we needed to pass a considerable amount of time between local appointments. We thought a lunch would eat into some of this time.... And how! Properly slow service, mains were brought out before starters, mains then sat on the hot counter place waiting to be served, 2 hours after arriving our mains did, then had to hunt a server to ask for the bill. Food was mediocre, service s.l.o.w.

Felt that the tables were insufficiently spaced. Seated very close to a table of either eight or ten. Did ask to move to a table at a distance but were told it hadn't been cleaned. We were not given the choice of waiting until it had been cleaned.Having said the above the food was fine

Went here Christmas Eve, good festive menu, nice service. But it could have been more cheerful,, there were no decorations where we were sat, not even a little festive decoration on the table and no crackers:(
