Branca Restaurant and Bar in Oxford

One of my favourite places to go for lunch or dinner in Oxford, Branca can be relied upon for a range of delicious offerings all made with high quality, often locally sourced ingredients. The deli shop is curated to tempt you from every angle, and the restaurant itself is the sort of place you fancy yourself coming back to even just for the ambiance.

Have had some mixed reviews on this place so one star off. The price of food here even from deli is a little steep. As a student I have came back to get some bits occasionally but cannot come back often due to the price. The chocolate section is great and it does have items that I have not seen before with good looking vegetables as well. The pasta(gnocchi) was actually not very nice with super richness to it and was not able to eat it. I have not been to the restaurant before so would like to try it in near future. Having some student discounts or point systems could be great.

Really nice place and Excellent food and fantastic service.

Had a dinner in the green room for a party of 13. The food was absolutely delicious, service was great and the location perfect. Speakers were also provided which turned out to be a great addition to the night. The staff were very accommodating to our needs and everyone had nothing but compliments for the kitchen. Highly recommend!

Staff were incredible (especially Matilda), restaurant setting unique (in this country) and food impeccable - overall a great experience in a first time visit to Oxford having lived and dined in Central London for years. Felt very lucky to have dined here - like it was fate!

As found by others here before, I can only confirm that the staff is pretty unfriendly.Went at 5pm to order ONE takeaway pizza and was told that they'd be too busy to handle my order. What restaurant is busy at 5pm? I was the only customer inside the restaurant.Last time I went, I was told I'd just have to come when the restaurant was open. I did that now. Very disappointed.

If not their pork belly as a main food, I’d have given them 1 star. Overly hyped, low quality starters and desserts, not very friendly staff. I had a very poor experience and I don’t think I will come back there again.

Very nice space and food. I went as a work party for a Christmas menu and this one didn't disappoint. The charcuterie board had quality products and the pork belly was melting and flavour some. The room vas very noisy though, the only minus point of the evening.

Really elegant spacious restaurant. Friendly staff, interesting Italian menu, tasty cocktails, great ambiance. Enjoyed a great, leisurely Saturday afternoon meal. Antipasti starter really good, venison main delicious.

A great atmosphere, relaxing with a lot of natural light. The coffee was quite enjoyable and the food options at the deli, especially anything made on the spot, are great. The pricing is the only real issue here as you certainly are paying a premium for the atmosphere. Otherwise, nothing bad to say.
