Great pub food if you're looking for inexpensive bite to eat in Oxford. Unfortunately they were out of several drink options therefore four stars.

We enjoyed our dinner here. Service was friendly, portions were big and food was really good. The sticky toffee pudding is very good and great way to end your meal

Mouse.I went with my brother and his partner. After finishing our meal we saw a small brown mouse run by the table next to us. All three of us saw this mouse. I went to let a member of staff know. I spoke to a group of bartenders and waiters. At first they did not believe me and argued against this claim. Finally when they accepted the fact, no action was done to sort the rodent. There are still mice there today.

Positive - Good food with polite staff.Negative - Locks on cubicles in toilets were broken, can’t go to the loo peacefully and comfortably when your reaching to keep the door shut…..

Lovely food, very helpful efficient staff, and the crispest pint of lager, i.e. good clean pipes! Very reasonable and no automatic tip added. I did tip of course.

Worst burger I’ve ever had in my life, 2 pieces of very dry beef, they look like they were cook a week ago and reheat in the microwave, a slice of untasty cheese and overcooked bacon. The sides very poor too. My dad’s burger was exactly like mine and my parter has everything overcooked (sausages, chicken fillet and steak) only thing it was ok was the chips.Plus they took forever to bring the food out and the pub was empty….Totally waste of money

We went for a light lunch meal. It was very nice just enough t keep us going and very reasonably priced as all the other places we looked at were very expensive for light lunches. Wine was lovely too.

We went here for a Christmas meal with friends, and were unfortunately disappointed with the food.We have been here before and enjoyed our experience that time at the pub, myself and my partner had gone for a couple of drinks. On that occasion the pub was rather busy, with a lovely atmosphere, staff were attentive and friendly and it was a lovely setting.Unfortunately on our last visit it appeared it was slightly under staffed (but I understand given the situation), and the head chef was not in either. The drinks were lovely, and the mulled cider was incredibly morish, however there was a delay for the food. Myself and my partner had ordered the vegan burger which was 15£, all burgers come with a side salad and chips, however the chips are not vegan so we paid 15£ for a burger and salad which seems a little steep. My partner asked for some vegan sides as an alternative which we were charged additionally for (I understand that these items, peas and broccoli, maybe more expensive than chips but it still seemed a little unfair). As mentioned there was a wait for food but that is understandable, the burger itself was tasty and was a nicely 'loaded' burger. Some of the staff members were incredibly apologetic of the delay which was kind of them and were attentive, however other staff members were not the same, chucking sauce packets on the table as they went passed (when we had asked for some condiments) and not even saying a word, in this instance it felt rather awkward and not at all friendly or a nice service. The pub itself was lovely, and again the atmosphere was lovely, nice customer base and decorated well.We are sure the last experience was a one off and was due to being a little strained with staff numbers, and appreciate it can be a more demanding time of the year. I would advised reviewing the Vegan Burger side options as that was a disappointment.

Great bar and Corona on tap 🍻Food was fantastic best I've had on trip to Oxford.Pub food but good pub. after starter we were asked when we'd be ready for main rather than it being thrust on us which is alway a bonus.Empty plate says it all 😉
