Dosapark in Oxford

I haven't had a better dosa outside of India. This establishment does authentic Indian food to a very high standard. If you're stopping in Oxford for anything I suggest you eat here.

We have been here a couple of times before. On this occasion I went there about 2pm on a saturday afternoon for lunch as I was driving through Oxford. It was a good place to go as I was able to park my car at the very nearby Railway station parking which offers parking for a full day for about £4. Dosa Park is cafe style in its decor and ambience. Typically for a place like this, it attracts mostly students and asian tourists who are perhaps missing home cooked food. It was easy to get a table and the service is fairly quick. They have an extensive menu.The Idli sambhar I ordered was good except I found the sambhar too hot (taste wise) which is maybe a personal thing. The other two condiments or chutneys were flavoursome. The Idlis were steaming hot when they arrived but they seemed quite hard. They may have been frozen and reheated in a microwave. Still, they were ok. Reasonably priced. Great selection for vegetarians. May stop by here again if in the area. Enjoy!

Dosa park is an ideal restaurant for those missing Indian food! I had ordered Special Pongal thali, and it was very tasty, hot, fulfilling and fresh. I would highly recommend to try their food once.

Went their for the first time on Pongal. It was well decorated to bring in the essence of the festival. They had a special Thali which we ordered with masala dosa. The food and starters were yummy and plentiful in the portion.You will have to struggle to find parking on a busy day as there is no dedicated Customer parking.

Average place for South Indian snacks and I dian meals. Food quality average. Fine for a quick bite and when hungry. Advantage is nearer yo the station.

Wanted to grab a quick bit before heading off on the train. Genuinely surprised: one of the best curries I've ever had (no exaggeration). We ordered the butter chicken and chicken curry (spicy). Definitely visiting again next time I take the train to Oxford.

Amazing food at a great price with plenty of vegetarian options.South Indian currys + the usual dosa/idli/vada are amazing.A must visit for real Indian food.

Had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. It is a simple restaurant but the taste of the Food is very authentic and proper South Indian! We tried Idly, Vada, Mysore Dosa and Uttapam! All tasted yummilicious! Staff was friendly too. Certainly value for money! Definitely recommend. Looking forward to try their thali next time!

Very delicious vegetarian as well as meaty options in very typical and traditional south Indian style!!Thali has almost 10 different items including lentils,chickpeas, vegetables, okra, rice, papadom, chapatti as well as traditional vermicelli!!Economical as well as delicious!!Walking distance from Westgate shopping centre Oxford!!A must try!!!

Having spent a lot of time in South India with South Indian friends I know how the authentic foods of South India taste. I was so excited to find this restaurant as it's rare to find South Indian food in the UK..I ordered a simple plain dosa with sambar and chutneys. Coconut chutney and two others, one of which I remember from India..I think there is much less spice than in India and I would have liked the coconut chutney to be thicker with curry leaves and a tiny little more flavour.The flavours took me right back to South India. It was nice to see Indian people coming here which shows the authenticity of the food.Of course the food is expensive in comparison to what one would pay in India. This is Oxford after all! For me it was worth it!
