Lovely restaurant, comfort food, it has a friendly atmosphere, feels like going over to a family’s house for a meal.

Pros: Lovely place, beautiful food, great service. Couldn't fault the experience.Cons: service charge is automatically added, which usually doesn't bother me. However, I always ask who gets it... lucky I did. The business take 50% the managers take a cut too. The rest of the staff share about 35% of the overall tip.The food isn't exactly cheap, which is fine but surely the restaurant doesn't need an additional 6.25% on top?!

First visit back to Gees for two years - and delighted to say it remains my favourite brunch venue in Oxford. Quality, friendly, speedy service. The eggs benedict royale is superb - perfect hollandaise and the eggs are spot on. Only criticism is the regular coffee is served in a glass and is quite small. But still great to be back in this quality venue and I will return again soon.

Really happy we chose Gees to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. The staff were welcoming and the food was amazing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the greenhouse style room and the lighting. Romantic vibes.

Been here twice in the last month since moving to the area. First time was for a Sunday lunch and second time for an evening meal. Food is expensive but absolutely worth the price! Some of the most delicious food I have had in Oxford! The octopus starter was especially well cooked. We were celebrating a birthday and the waiters bought a little scoop of ice cream with a candle with desert which was a thoughtful touch and the service was brilliant throughout!

Beautiful food in a wonderful surround on the Banbury Road. We sheltered here from the summer rain and the plants and outbuilding were cozy and welcoming. The food was first class. See pics.

Lovely, pricey food with excellent service in a beautiful, naturally lit, old glass dining room of a former green grocers. The entrance is lined with lots of beautiful plants and herbs.

Food was very good, I had the mushroom risotto. The bread was delicious. Drinks were good but nothing special. It’s a nice setting in the conservatory, but overall I’d say it’s a bit on the pricier side

Nice food in a beautiful, open-plan glasshouse. The ambiance and decor is very elegant and fitting, with friendly service. Food is generally good, albeit on the pricey side. The complimentary bread with olive oil is delicious.
