I come here VERY frequently to buy tubs of ice cream for the past 4 years and never have I been treated the way I had been today. The waitress was very unwelcoming and grumpy. She didn’t even fill the tubs like other ones pre-filled in the freezer so I didn’t feel as happy to spend my money like I usually do.Nevertheless, I know the ice cream will be good but to be treated like that when I came in with a guest coming in for the first time in months, has put him off.

The most creative ice cream flavours, and some of the best desserts I've had! 🍦 They also serve some amazing savoury dishes such as their infamous pizza bagels too! 👌🏻 Great service, friendly staff, and fair pricing considering the location and quality of products on offer. With three separate locations across the city, and local ingredients used for in-house production of the menu, the place is definitely worth a visit at any time of the day! 🍨

Great icecream flavours, always with a great selection of lovely baked treats, all for a reasonable price! Pizza bagels are lovely too! Wrote many a piece of coursework in various G&Ds!

Great staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. The milkshake I had was delicious, and the bagel I had was tasty. My only real complaint is the portion sizes for the price, as my partner's waffles were a bit light on toppings, and the bagel I had was a bit small for the price. Everything was tasty, otherwise, I just wish there had been more of it!Will definitely visit again.

Loveliest staff ever! My partner and I were having an awful time while it was pouring with rain, walking around Oxford not knowing where we were (not local), after being let down by multiple taxis. Wandered into G&D to ask for help, and were greeted by two smiling ladies who were more than happy to help us call a taxi and get back to our hotel, even have us a free pot of ice cream for our troubles. I’ve never met such helpful and welcoming people! Ice cream was incredible and the service was even better, thank you both so much!

Daim cookie and ice cream flavour tasted really nice but I think it was a bit overpriced for Oxford prices. I was quite surprised how big and varied the menu was in this cafe. Ice cream flavours are interesting here and they served ice cream at 9pm which was nice. Scoop could have been a bit bigger for the price.Comfy cafe atmosphere, music choice was good.

Tried this ice cream since it was popular and it was really good. You guys should try it if you ever come to oxford. Recommended and would keep coming back for its other flavours. They have so many other different flavours to try. Cheers! I hope this helps!

I love the ice cream of G&D, but some of the flavours aren't up to the mark. Having been here for more than 6 months, and have tried several times from two of their outlets in Oxford - one in front of Christ Church college and the other in Little Clarendon street, I can say that while some of their flavours are really outstanding, I personally found the others are just average (even those flavours which I otherwise love !).One of the problem at both the outlets is large queue. Everytime I have been to either of the shops, the queue is quite long and service seems to be slow - especially on weekends. However, I understand that there are certain things beyond the control and hence won't leave a bad rating just for long queues (which indicate that people love their ice-creams). Hope the team is able to make the process slightly fast and queues a bit smaller.

A but overpriced and a bit overrated, however their mango sorbet and raspberry sorbet are to die for and they alone justify all the hype surrounding G&D’s. The taste is genuine, it really feels like they mixed up fresh fruit in a sorbet, and it is a refreshing and delicious snack on a summer day.The sorbets are their ultimate best, but from the milk-based options I’d suggest the Daim, Oxford Blue (blueberries!) and Eton Mess. Their scoops are usually pretty large so you will probably be in for a good treat even if you order just one.Waffles and brownies are usually delicious (though also pricey) and quite indulgent - I would save them as a treat for the winter though, definitely a bit too much on a hot summer day.The store has lots of seating indoors and limited outdoors tables overlooking Christ Church college.

Came here on a rainy Monday with our 18 month old looking for a warm drink, a snack and somewhere to recharge. Unfortunately, the welcome was as gloomy as the weather. Service was terrible. Grumpy waitress snapped that toilets were for customers, when i asked. Her, a colleague and an older woman with an accent (American?) barely raised their eyes to us, let alone said hello. Ordered two coffees. One was cold. On way down to (dingey) loos, saw they were making fresh bagels... I'm sure Alan Sugar would be aghast at the lack of publicity about this.I'm sure the ice cream is nice, but I won't be going back to try
