Jude the Obscure in Oxford

We went to Jude the obscure after reading some reviews for the best fish and chips in town.But unfortunately after they redesigned the pub they most likely changed a lot of recipes.To make it short chicken and mushroom pie was microwaved which means that it was hard like stone.The chips were not so good and the fish was just not great as well.Service was quite nice.But I will definitely not put my feet in this pub any more.

Great pub, looks spectacular after their refurbishment. The manager is a friendly bloke, had a big hole in his jumper but a nice guy overall.

Lovely new decor. Lush looking pub in Jericho. Only popped in for Amstel 🍺 and caught 2nd half of Burnley match ⚽️ but a very nice welcoming atmosphere.

We watch most of football matches in Jude The Obscure in Walton Street, OXFORD. All the staffs including Mr. Simon, Tim, Conall, Will, Kie, Clem, Matt & many more are soooo professional, friendly, supportive & kind. We, family, definitely recommend you to go & enjoy there please!☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘👍☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘

This is a very comfortable local pub where everyone is made welcome. The menu is fairly basic pub grub but it’s excellent value for Oxford and presented well. There are also several well-kept real ales. All the staff are excellent and William is an exceptionally good host.

This a very decent pub with great service and also fair pricing! However, the food wasn’t up to what we expected. We ordered some burgers and they had a sauce that tasted like wasabi sauce (looked like green/yellow-ish). This ruined the whole taste of the burger and ruined our experience. Please make sure you don’t add this sauce to burgers, it tastes horrible!
