Service was amazing, the food was delicious! An experience in every menu item!

Wow! Really impressed!First we needed some help with access for a member of our party and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Then the food... Absolutely delicious! We had a selection of different options across our 3 courses between the 4 of us and all of them were fantastic. I can't fairly offer a recommendation as all our choices would qualify. We'd absolutely come back again.

Excellent food and service. Outside was a little chilly in March but they provide blankets if needed. The beef and chicken is also halal which isn't advertised!

There were a number of places recommended to us by friends in Oxford, but we are very glad we ended up having lunch here. Both the food and the service were exceptional, even given this category of establishment. We expected more here and received it.We had no booking, but they were able to fit us in and give us an exceptional meal and experience. We will definitely visit again, when in Oxford. We had planned to lift a pint at Eagle and Child to Aslan and Bilbo, but given that location has been shuttered, this was a definite upgrade. The Pisco Sour and Good Old Fashioned were both well crafted cocktails. With lunch, we had a pitcher of their house Pinot Grigio. She had the halibut and it was quite good, but I have to say that my beef roast was the best roast I have had in the UK, since moving here five months ago.The créme brûlée was correct and the quince crumble was quite good. We decided that we should have shared the crumble, but that is only because we are now so full.

All the staff were lovely - even answering my questions entirely unrelated to the meal, restaurant or even country! I was extremely happy with my experience and will come back next time I'm in town. The langoustine starter was generous - if you're not familiar seafood it can be disconcerting to see so little meat, but the sheer number of langoustine on the plate was (far) more than sufficient for a starter. The rib eye was melt in your mouth cooked perfectly. My only critiques are here: the chips were unseasoned frankly bland and the baby gem lettuce looked sad, though I soon discovered the leaves were dressed perfectly. The creme brulé for dessert was decadently delicious.

Thank you so much for your hospitality. It's the first time I dined with yourselves and you made it extra special for my birthday. Rafael was our main waiter and the customer service from start to finish was exceptional, Rafael really went the extra mile for us. I will definitely be coming back again in the near future. I hope this note goes some way by way of employee reward and/or special acknowledgement to Rafael. Thank you again and see you again soon

We had a really lovely anniversary meal on the patio here. We were incredibly impressed with the food and the service, and happily surprised by what extensive measures the staff took to make us comfortable during covid (masks, distancing, and plastic screens inside.) The food was great, but the desserts were particularly excellent - we got the treacle tart and chocolate cake and both were sublime.

The atmosphere was so elegant, and the food was delicious. I was very happy with their vegan dessert option!

Excellent customer service, cosy outdoor area with fire and very nice cocktails. Would recommend for a high end dinner , 3 main course for 2 and drinks is ~£120

Hands down the best Sunday roast I have ever eaten! It was even better than my Nan’s roast.Beautifully presented, everything was cooked to perfection, most importantly amazing gravy 9/10!Well worth the drive from Bicester Village.
