Pizzeria Trattoria Mario in Oxford

I love this restaurant so much ! We go there very often with my partner and it's always a very good time. Authentic italian food, home made and so good, prices are great, staff is lovely. I'm a big fan of their gnocchis and their pizza (I recommand the crudo), I always ask to have the penne meatballs but replace the penne by gnocchis and they always say yes even when the restaurant is very busy. One of the best restaurant in Oxford to my opinion.

Excellent gluten free pasta! The chef was very knowledgeable. It takes some time because they change out the pasta water, but totally worth it. There is no gf pizza, but if you’re hankering for some pasta, this is the place! (Pictured = gf fettuccine, comes with mushrooms, ham, and peas. Absolutely delicious!)

Great price point, great Italian flavours, cozy, always busy so better to make a reservation. I enjoyed how nice the waitress was very friendly atentive great customer service!!! Will come again!!!

The pizza was okay, not perfect but quiet good. The selection of the wines was awful. To claim to be an Italian restaurant, I expect the wine to be the best drink on the menu.

Me and my partner went in Oxford for a couple of days. We discovered the trattoria di Marco accidentally while passing by... Honestly it was the only place we went for food during our stay there. Very nice pizza and pasta, very generous portions, well prepared and tasty! Cooking the old way as it should be. Definitely going back on our next visit.

This place seemed very authentic and Italian. Service was great, as well as the pizza and drinks. Can't really go wrong here for that. Only very slight improvement can be the pizza dough, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good.

As Italian,I can affirm this is the best pizza I've ever had in Oxford. The owner is from Naples and, believe me, this is another quality of certificate. If you've never gone in this Pizzeria, it's a big mistake and you should fix it immediately. Best pizza I recommend is Prosciutto Crudo:)

Great little find in cowley. Looks a bit peculiar from outside. All staff are Italian and great menu.I had a lovely pasta and a insalata carpresse for starter, fair enough price for wine and food. Can’t get half a bottle for 11 quid.Would recommend, as service is quick and great food. About 20 a head for starter main and a drink. So reasonable, will be back to this pizza 🍕 place along cowley.
