Posh Fish in Oxford

Posh fish has always been my go to fish and chip shop for many years.can't fault them, they know what they are doing. although now and again we know when we are getting fresh chips and old ones, we don't mind.The people are friendly, the atmosphere is good.

Very nice experience with the meal here (sitting in). Generous portion size as others have said. They give you your cutlery clean packed, so it's certainly very safe hygiene-wise. Colourful artwork and uplifting music while you eat. The coffee is inexpensive but very good. Finally, notice that the shop has a model fish on the roof above the doorway, just like the other famous fish on a roof in Headington!

Very very nice, some of the best fish and chips I have ever had.Just be warned of portion sizes as you get a lot!

Great gluten free fish and chips on a Tuesday and Wednesday. High recommend it. Staff very friendly excellent service. One of the best.

After a long search for the best local chippy in Oxford, this place is one of my favourites. The food served here is excellent and very pleased that (unlike other places) they offer very generous portion sizing, which is ideal after a long day at work. The staff work hard here and it is clear to see that they enjoy what they do - perhaps this is their secret ingredient to providing great food and service!

Stopped in here to show some friends what English fish & chips taste like. We ate the food inside and it came to the table very quickly and was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will go there to eat again.

Great quality, very fast, the fries were good too. There is an option to choose the jacket potato instead of fries. We had dine-in and the place was clean and welcoming. I found the dine-in price (vs the takeaway) extremely steep though. IMO, the difference in costs between the two options is not justifiable

Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, nuggets and chips. Other than the chips being a little undercooked it was absolutely delicious. I love how the nuggets aren't like the processed ones 😋

Came here for lunch and was greeted by friendly staff. We decided to sit in, the decor and cleanliness was great. I ordered the small cod and chips and it was great! Fresh fish and wasn’t greasy at all. Really good value for money as the portions are really big (the picture doesn’t do it justice)! Great experience overall!

Absolutely loved it. I have had fish and chips there earlier. But the Chicken kebabs are really good. Freshly made to order and you can choose peppers and cooked onions. Topped with salads. Very healthy. Don't forget to treat yourself with a portion of chips. One of the best in the Thames Valley !
