Waited for a little longer than usual for my coffee and the wonderful women working here apologized profusely and offered I take a pastry for my trouble. Staff here are awesome!!!

Second Best coffee (after AMT Coffee) in Oxford, if you like strong flavour full coffee, the best place to go to. Perfect to start your day.

Asked to sit in...got charged sit in price but still given coffee in takeaway cup. They should be more clear on this. I don't want to contribute to waste all the time

Service was awful three people making drinks and hot food and no one serving for ages cue out the door. Tables not cleared and not really suitable for shoppers as full of students taking up tables with a drink and a computer. Not the best very disappointed. Usually love a pret experience.

Very unimpressive.I was clipping the harness on our little 9ne in a high chair when some tall, skin head chap, a member of staff with a french accent ... RUSHED up to me all in a hurry, stopped inches away then sputtered "excuse me please!" at a million words an hour and in a tone that said "you stupid customer i have important office admin to do!".I declined his offer to dive out of his way, and took several seconds of his precious time to make sure the baby was safe and secure before stepping away to let him pass.He then slammed the door of an office/staff area so hard another woman dropped her drink in fright. So not going there again.

The service in this place has rapidly declined. I come here at least once per day and since theyâve reopened, things have been getting progressively worse. There is almost always a queue out the door. At least 4 times per week I will order my drink, stand about for 5 minutes waiting for the order, only to be then asked what it was that I had ordered because they had somehow lost the order in the 50cm between the till and the coffee machine. I donât think itâs necessarily the staffâs fault - theyâre absolutely slammed.

Incredibly cozy, great atmosphere for working on your laptop or studying, also a nice place for small group meetings. A great alternative to the library or if youâre just looking for a calm place to read a bookTry to go in off peak hours: it can be incredibly busy 10am-3pm on weekdays as a lot of students go there so itâs sometimes practically impossible to find a free table (especially during morning rush hour and lunchtime). It also gets super noisy so not great to focus. But outside of those times itâs super chill, the photos below were taken noon time on a Saturday and there were loads of free seats (also it was peaceful and quiet)In my experience they have the biggest food range of all the Pretâs in Oxford and normally are really well-stocked. The staff there is also undoubtedly the nicest and friendliest staff ever - theyâll chat with you and seem to genuinely care, and also make strong effort to get the order right. Baked goods are impeccable and if you get them right after theyâre out of the oven itâs a divine experience. Some downsides is that they donât do smoothies, frappes, or milkshakes (for that youâd have to go to the Pret further down on Cornmarket or the one in Westgate), but they do do iced coffees. There is also sometimes variability in the coffee quality from extremely good to very subpar but I think this mostly happens when a new barista is in training. Also like I said during peak times it can get incredibly busy but the staff is always really efficient so they keep waiting times really low.Overall my favourite Pret for indoors seating, food choices, and staff but the coffee is better in the smaller Pret further down on Cornmarket Street.

Went during Christmas festive season where they have a deal with drink and mince pies. Great hostess, but when asked about the pies, she said they ran out of it đ, request to look in the back or ask the manager, got the mince piesđ! There were lots of students, some of them really noisy! And some were literally looking at the noisy kids when the volume was a little on the higher side! Building itself- Beautiful old structure! Nicely done from inside retaining the old characteristics.. wonky and rustic!

I can't help but like this chain. Fresh, yummy food at a fairly reasonable price and an attempt at social enterprise as well. This shop happened to be in the oldest building in Oxford. Breakfast sorted.

We literally ate at this restaurant EVERYDAY. They are EVERYWHERE! They have amazing fresh food. You CANNOT beat the prices. They have something for everyone. Sandwiches, salads, soups, fruit, fresh squeezed drinks, smoothies, chocolate, coffee, etc. My favorite was a small cup that had a layer of honey, yogurt and topped with granola. #LocalGuides
