Rice Box in Oxford

Was told I was a liar when requesting a refund despite delivery driver clearly lying to me? Incredibly ridiculous service, food was freezing cold after the driver left it on the doorstep with no knock (I was down there the whole time, with my phone, waiting), phoned back and was told that due to the order name being 'Luke' and apparently a woman answering the door, he asked if the man who ordered this was there to which this woman apparently replied "leave it on the doorstep, it might be a friend's". I was quite shocked he'd lie to me like that as 1) I was down here the whole time so would have heard someone at the door, and 2) the only woman in the house being our housemate who was upstairs working and didn't come out of her room the entire wait-time. My friend who was waiting for the food with me called the restaurant back and explained this to him and was prompty told that it was actually him lying, and that a refund would not be coming ("not in your life", "no way, no way, no way" were the words used I believe, not exactly professional is it?). What a horrible man, I will not be purchasing from here again, which will leave you a good £50 per month out of pocket as me and my friend used to order from here almost every week 🤷 Really not that hard to admit you're wrong and offer a refund, but I guess this guy was feeling childish today.

Very disappointed this evening! We've ordered from here a number of times and enjoyed the meal, so we weren't expecting to be delivered inedible food!!! Our garlic chicken was undercooked, our calamari was overcooked and the prawn toast tasted of perfume more than anything else! Upon calling the restaurant we were rudely greeted on the phone and called liars once we told him about the food, the man who had answered told us he had prepared the food himself and is a chef of 20 years who doesn't make mistakes and refused to listen or help in any way. We will not be ordering again!! Food is about as good as their attitude!!!

The starter combo arrived and it.was.Terrible.Good flavours and intentions BUT all completely soggy and jumbled. This was because they hadn't put the sauce in a separate container, therefore it was was all swimming the same box; great for the environment but not great for ruining my New Year's day meal.The chicken and pineapple curry was hugely underwhelming. The sauce was watery and tasteless.To too of my dismay, the can of Tango I ordered was room temp... Just expected to to be cold.All in all just dissapointing 😔

Most disgusting Chinese food ever! Called to complain about sweet and sour chicken which was not cooked and still pink inside. Restaurant is a hazard to people's health and the Manager is a rude pratt who could not care less. If he'd made my 2 year old son sick he would have known about it face to face. Escalating complaint to health and safety. Restaurant should be closed down and

Honestly a joke. I ordered from here, got the food (which was tasteless & totally bland). I then got a phone call an hour later from an angry customer asking me where her order was. The restaurant clearly couldn’t be bothered to deal with an angry customer that had been waiting a while for their food and had passed on MY PERSONAL phone number AND NAME. I rang the restaurant and confronted them and they put the phone down on me. Absolutely disgusting, avoid at all costs.

Food for collection was left on the counter once ready for collection and not a hot box. We came as soon as we were notified it was ready. We live very local. Food was cold when I opened.I called the shop to complain. Attitude of the staff I spoke to was disgusting. Basically said I was lying. No apology, no recompense. The guy said as soon as it's ready it's on the counter for collection. What if customers hit delays on their way. Any other Chinese locally put their customers food in a hot box behind the counter to keep warm. I don't appreciate paying £25 for substandard, cold food. Came here on a recommendation. Never again.

My order was complete. Food was delicious. Generous portions. Great Value for money. Will definately be ordering again 😋👍

The chicken balls are so greasy, same for the meat spring roll, when I picked them up my fingers were actually dripping with oil, the bag they came in was wet through with oil too, when I put them into my air fryer to remove some of the oils I was actually shocked at the pool of oil in the bottom of the machine, a good 4 or 5 table spoons came out 😫 then I put them on kitchen roll and there was still tons of oil soaking into the tissue 🤮 why so much oil rice box? On the plus side I will say they are reasonably priced and arrive in good timing its just the excessive use of oil that let them down 👎

Ordered 3 portions of squid, all of which was not fresh, tasted as if it was reheated, for £21 they thought it would be easy to just repeat portions that was there. Wont order from them again.

Had a delicious "house special stir fry noodles." House specials are personal opinion is always a safe bet if you haven't eaten at the Chinese takeaway restaurant before. As you can see in the photo, there were so many different kinds of ingredients, making it a really good culinary experience. Just like any Chinese fast food, it tasted like some MSG in it (not surprisingly though). Note they only accept cash. The place was almost empty, and they served me the moment I ran back from the TESCO cash point, like 5 minutes after ordering.
