Solo traveller was made very welcome in this small but perfectly formed pub. Good Hook Norton beer in choice.of jug or straight good pub fare menu and a lovely atmosphere and attentive staff.

Fantastic hospitality. Top roast dinner...Best I've had from a pub. Lovely, buzzy atmosphere. Will go back as soon as I can.

Lovely pub, really nice staff, amazing food and nice beers. The outside area is heated very well, and the inside is as well decorated as the outside. Will most definitely be returning!

We found this quirky little place down a narrow side-street off the Banbury Road. During daytime the closed road has tables for outside eating. Inside is quite small but there is a covered rear courtyard with "tables with heated legs!". The seasonal menu included pies called "Deer Santa, Cristingle and Christmas Cracker". I had Debbie's Fish Pie with peas - very tasty. They also did a very warming Whisky-Mac!

Beer excellent and food home made, freshly cooked and the best home made Scotch egg I have ever eaten. Fish pie looks good too.

Went here for dinner this evening with my family, and the service was amazing, the two waitresses we're very friendly and welcoming. The food was traditional pub food, with a decent size menu. It was served in good time, with very reasonable portion sizes and tasted great.Tucked down a quiet alley, along with a few other nice shops, its a lovely place to go for something to eat or drink without being in the centre of the city.Will be back next time I'm in Oxford.

What a lovely small pub. Great beers and a good selection of whisky.They have an outdoor area and have live Jazz at certain times.The outdoor area has sparkly lights so I can imagine it has a lovely atmosphere in the evenings.
