Don't ever eat here. I never do reviews but this was the worst curry I've ever had. This restaurant changed hands in 2021, and its a different place. The service is non existent, basic things on the menu were unavailable, the food was so oily it made me ill. Over half the food we didnt eat, it was disgusting. It was extremely expensive too. £140 for 4 people. When we reduced the bill by 40, they didnt even quibble. This restaurant was empty at 7.30pm on a Friday evening, says it all. Other Indian restaurants we tried were fully booked until 9pm. Check out recent reviews on Trip Advisor. We chose this restaurant based on Google reviews, so adding a review to save others!

I really liked this restaurant. A straight forward traditional Indian, with a twist on some of its recipes. I've never had a green Jalfrezi before, but it was beyond delicious.Service was great, super friendly, but prices are a touch on the expensive side.

Lovely tasty food, just the right level of spices. Service was attentive although not overly so. Will visit again

Looked far and wide across Oxford as I was taking my son out for an Indian meal.I asked a taxi driver if there was a good Indian and he pointed in the Direction ot The Shezan. We made the right choice as the food and service was excellent. The Star of the meal were the Onion Bhaji were the best ever. A proper Indian food experience plus reasonable priced,we will be coming back!

Food was OK, if over-priced, but the service staff were so incompetent and so extremely rude that we were unable to stay to finish our meal. We were left speechless after they refused to bring a knife and fork for my my elderly father, and he was forced to try to eat with two spoons. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

This is my first visit to this restaurant and I was not aware of how it would taste. Ms kumari who's working in this restaurant helped us to choose the food .To be honest the food was excellent and service was really good. And had a great experience for the first time. The best Indian restaurant in Oxford so far.

The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly. They staff was more than happy to accommodate any customisation request. It's very near to the Oxford university. We to take a stairs to reach the restaurant.

We were very disappointed at the poor service here. Once seated we waited 15 to 20 minutes to be offered a drink, and that's because my husband waved at one of the passing waiters to ask for them. Their drinks selection is very limited - I couldn't have a gin and tonic, so asked for tap water. I expected a jugfull but got a small glass. We thought we'd better ask for the food there and then or we'd be waiting ages more! The food was very nice but we wanted more drinks and it was very difficult to get the attention of the staff, so we didn't get any. When we eventually managed to flag down a waiter to ask for the bill we got that pretty quickly then she disappeared again and we had to wait again for ages to pay! I noticed that they'd added a 10% service charge, which was a bit presumptuous seeing as the service was so bad. We asked them to remove this before paying. We spent most of the evening trying to get the attention of the staff. We won't be going back!

Had family lunch at shezan and the manager Mr saleem chowdary was on hand to guide us with the menu. Superb mughlai biryani and lamb khorma was not bad either. Price was reasonable. I would have rated shezan 5stars had he thrown in free samosas.

I've come several times to the restaurant with several groups of friends because the FOOD IS SO TASTY!!!The curries are authentic and well made. Their lamb dishes are incomparable and their naan is great too. Admittedly, it takes a whole for the food to be prepared but the restaurant is usually quiet and give great opportunity for conversation with friends and family.
