Best sirloin I have had in a long time! Walnut salad perfectly balanced and the fries were so crispy! Paired with a glass of Shiraz lead to a great lunch time experience!

A very nice place, a stonethrow from the railway station. Silent mileu, proper food and service. The best steak you will ever get in the UK I would hazard a guess, based on previous experience. Prices are also reasonable. Expect long preparation times, but that is part of the proper steak-business. Would visit again.

Food was good. Was seated next to a very noisy table of 8 or more lads with the place being empty at the time.Meaning my partner and I had to shout at each other all night. The hidden service charge was a scam and nothing was mentioned we even tipped the waiter in cash that he gladly took.

Classy, hidden gem. Beautiful furniture gives a nice atmosphere. Nightmare for parking but worth the effort. Went on a Sunday & it was so relaxing inside. Menu sounds good. Wine selection is definitely above average. Friendly staff. Outside drinking area limited. Really liked it here. Perfect for some tranquility after an afternoon in the Westgate.

Boutique Hôtel (7 rooms) and steakhouse. We were resident for two nights and we ate in the restaurant the first evening. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Our room with en-suite and Wifi was modern/functional and in keeping with boutique ‘feel’. Fresh cold drinking water 💧and milk 🥛 available from ‘on the landing’ SMEG fridge. Very high quality steaks 🥩 and wine. Wonderful breakfasts and for Oxford the B&B rate was good value for money. Note, it is outside the city centre but walkable. Mill Street is a suburban terraced street.

Steak very good, staff were very polite. Delivery service on food was excellent. The only fault I had was not a lot of choice on the specified steaks, steak knife was not sharpe enough. But overall a very good experience. Wil go back again

We stayed at the Porterhouse Grill and rooms on a weekend visit to Oxford. It was the perfect venue! It is easily accessible to parking, public transport and the sights of the city. It’s a five minute walk into the heart of the city. We ate in the pub and dining room and all of the food was excellent. Though it’s called the Porterhouse Grill, Al of the food was superb. My wife had sea bream which was grilled over charcoal to perfection. My sirloin was - as you would expect - succulent and delicious. But what made the trip extraordinary was the staff. Each person we interacted with was polite, respectful, efficient and fun. They were all super-personable. I loved chatting with Ali about the similarities of our past lives. We’ll be back to the Porterhouse Grill and rooms whenever we’re in Oxford!

Lovely little place in a bit of a random location but trust Google maps it's sending you the correct way! The service was excellent and the food was lovely. We had 7 different cooked steaks and they came out at the same time and were perfectly cooked. The meat was of very good quality and chips were just as good. Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed dinner here last night as a birthday treat for my daughter. The ambiance and service were excellent. The Porterhouse prides itself on its mouth-wateringly special steak cuts (albeit with eye-watering prices for some cuts - up to £120 for a steak to share). I opted for an aged sirloin at £31 which was excellent quality if a touch overdone (but I wasn't impressed with the chips or the salad that came with it - sorry). My daughter opted for a pork dish £21 and my wife went for the vegetarian portobello mushrooms £17 - both tasty if a little over-priced for what was served. We enjoyed our evening - the brunch/lunch menu looked like really good value so if we come back it will be to try that.
