Love this interesting pub. Prices are higher than other pubs but the history is fascinating. They say that siouxie sioux used to play here before she was known and it had a big punk following when it was the Oranges and Lemons (why did anyone change that name in St clements?!?). Take a good look at the indoor punk photo-it is mesmerising!

Wow very disappointing! I think a microwave ready roast meal is better than what this place has to offer. Photos were very misleading. Poor bland ingredients, no parsnips no roast carrots, I had to ask the unhappy staff for condiments as was not offered. Definitely not worth the £17.50 plus £6.20 for a cider. I never write reviews but I had to for this one.

Came here for a Sunday roast due to the reviews, but it was so bland. Roast potatoes underdone, no sign of garlic or rosemary flavouring that they suggest on the menu, chewy beef, a flat Yorkshire pudding. Even the gravy had no flavour!

We've never been here before and thought we'd give it a try last night. I warned them we'd be bringing a dog, but they still gave us quite a small table with limited space. On arrival, I let the bartender know we were here, he went to see if our table was ready, he came back and confirmed it was. I'm glad we booked because it was really busy and loud. When I approached our table, it was clear it hadn't been cleaned as there was a used glass and crisps packet left behind. It was too busy to ask someone to clean it, so we just sat down. The food was really good... Although, £14 for burger and chips is quite expensive in my opinion. Oh, and there wasn't any vegetarian/vegan mains on the menu. I also needed to queue to ask for water for my dog. I'm not sure if we'll come back again...

Great food, pricier side! Went there for Xmas with some friends and was extremely satisfied.

We chose this pub for our weekend away in Oxford Sunday roast lunch after reading glowing reviews as we had no idea about pubs in the area. Please don't be fooled, whilst relatively cheap for a beef roast (£16), I'm disappointed to report that the meat, potatoes & yorkshire were tasteless. And never have we experienced such watery bland gravy. We also purchased mulled wine - a mistake as it was unpleasant. The upside is that the pub is nicely decorated for Xmas and the staff were very kind & helpful.

I would have give 5 starts but I think stuff needs to learn to Acknowledge more at clients and make them feel more wellcome. Customer service and hospitality should always be a priority. Other then that We enjoyed been able to have a date bringing our puppy. Appetizers where tasty!!!

They claim they have the best Sunday roast... and I cannot agree more with it! On top of the amazing food, the beer selection is huge, and the staff is super nice. The beer garden can’t be more cozy and pretty. Definitely a place to go any time :)

Beautiful lunch here today. 8 of us eating, all different dishes and all excellent. The service was so cheerful and friendly. A friend bought her little dog and she was welcomed both inside and out - they even provided her with her own doggy bowl and fresh water. Pleasant seating at the front but a super little garden/patio area at the rear. Totally worth another visit.

Nipped in for a bite to eat after being recommended, we weren't disappointed, the food was really nice, the beer was delicious and the staff were courteous and helpful. The pub has a nice feel and a very pleasant little garden at the rear.
