Food was genuinely delicious, but they did also explicitly hand me a dish saying it was the gluten free option, before coming back and informing me that it was not, in fact, gluten free. So I can look forward to a weekend of never straying more than a short dash from the toilet.I'd not risk a second visit.

Had dinner at The Folly for my brother's wedding in January. We were a small wedding group of immediate family members (~15 people, including 2 infants) and we had a wonderful time here! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and polite! Would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous spot by the river with a great wine, cocktail menu with amazing vegan options! The vegan snickers is possibly the best plant based dessert I've ever had.

·

Great restaurant excellent food and service, helpful friendly staff, with nice views across the river.

A brilliant contemporary take on our traditional british cuisine.Exceptionally constructed dishes, beautifully presented. The staff are perfect hosts. The physical dining experience is sharp yet inviting. The riverside location is idyllic.Menus are clearly labelled with allergen information. It only misses out on 5 stars as there are no immediate parking facilities. Taxi set-down and pick-up places aren't available. Disabled access is poor due to steep steps from the road down to the riverside entrance. Although handrails assist decent. If you can, definitely a place to put on your Oxford dining bucketlist.

Great place for romantic meal, great service too, and food absolutely fabulous - I heard that some dishes are not so good… I come, I check, I eat… I can honestly say it’s bull*hit what I heard!🤣 food in folly it’s really good, I order many different choices from menu to try - all of them were made fresh, juicy (meat and fish) - and served with class on plate.Highly recommended place for all ppl that wanna spend fab evening with good wine and food next to river ☺️

It's decent food, but not spectacular. You'd think for a group of 4 spending £300 on 4 mains, 3 starters and 3 deserts I'd be amazed. I wasn't. Service is awesome and the views on the Thames can't be beat. Just can't give it 5 stars based on views and service alone.

From the time we arrived to when we left the staff were very attentive and friendly. The half hour boat tour which included a glass of bubbly was relaxing and an enjoyable experience before our three course meal. Great selection of courses which were inventive and tasty. A very enjoyable couple of hours, thanks! 😊

Fantastic meal! Every course was so tasty, unusual and beautifully cooked. Lovely view over the river and cosy, trendy decor. Great wine. Really friendly and attentive staff. Definitely recommend for a quieter meal for a special occasion.
