White wine not chilled sufficiently. Plastic found in one of the dishes. The mussels had grit in them. One portion of chips hard in the middle. Otherwise not a bad place to eat!!

When we arrived we were promptly seated. It would have been nice to be told once seated what the soup of the day was and any changes to the menu. Rather than have to catch the staff later to ask. There was nothing actually wrong with our food. However, both the meals that my wife and I had were both a bit bland. We would say that they were under seasoned. In actual fact the lemon tart had hardly any taste of lemon in it.

Completely disappointed. After having a really enjoyable time and great food last summer our last visit was unfortunately a complete shambles. Once arriving and standing at the bar with no staff in sight we were eventually seated in the bar area having booked for the restaurant, after being sat and not given any menus or had a drink order taken we sat and watched other customers be seated and handed menu’s from the off, after 15 minutes of no one still coming over we decided to leave. We don’t have many child free days so what should of been a enjoyable evening was completely ruined and tarnished our visit from before having been so good.

Really nice first time since the refurb great outside spaces although I was in the restaurant rather than in those. Staff all really helpful food was good menu a little small could do with a specials board but overall nice visit

A wonderful rustic pub in a quiet setting away from most main roads, the menu is both enticing and affordable whilst the food is delicious and piping hot upon arrival.Recent renovations have seen a beautiful outside covered seating area and inside partitions between tables allow for a covid safety concious environment that is employed on a tasteful manner.I visited for my 27th birthday and staff were absolutely wonderful whilst not being over the top which suited me well. The additional effort put into the decoration on the pudding was delightful to see especially as it wasn't explicitly mentioned but merely overheard by a staff member in passing.A must visit if looking for a lovely meal and friendly service.

Had a family meal there recently and probably the nicest "pub" Xmas dinner I've ever had! Superb food, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. The pub itself was stylishly and elegantly dressed for Xmas with a warm friendly welcome by attentive staff. Highly recommend a visit

Great food, good choice of dishes, generous portions nicely cooked. Charming and helpful service. Very child friendly.We were a party of 8 and ate in a covered outside spaced that was delightful and sympathetically build. The children could run around on the extensive lawn area, and though the restaurant was busy we were numerous, they served us quickly and efficiently. We all agreed we'd had a great time and would go back.

From start to finish this place was amazing, from how it looks to the amazing staff and the food was outstanding. The outdoor seating set up is one of the best I have visited,with plenty of tables well spaced out. Between the 4 of us we had a selection of the menu and each and every dish was outstanding

Lovely place to stop for a a quick bite, food is good, portions are sensible. The place has an American vibe to it. Cocktail hour 3 to 6 pm on signature cocktails.

Excellent first visit!Always cycle past and see the lovely garden so thought we'd finally give it a try! So glad we did, such a lovely evening in the beautiful garden space with the sun setting. A lot of time and thought has gone into defining specific areas for the outdoor dining and it looks really impressive. Quality of the food was excellent along with the service, loved the little buzzer outside for when you needed someone, great addition! Inside was even nicer and sure on a rainy day we'll dine in rather than outside. Great selection of drinks and a nice but slightly limited food menu but something for everyone in general, hopefully it changes through the seasons. Be back soon :) Very impressed!
