Friendly place that looks like a very popular spot to hang out. Great part of town. Well decorated and maintained. Very welcoming staff. Would have given 5 stars but for what I felt was a little bit of an unimaginative beer selection - at least when I went. (Perhaps designed to cater to student/music crowd tastes.)

This was my first experience in Jericho Tavern. We had made a reservation for dinner at 9 pm but when we arrived there the kitchen had closed exceptionally early at 8 pm without previous notice. However, as it was probably a website error, the staff was very welcoming and opened the kitchen just for us, so we would not miss our booked experience. That was great effort and not all pubs/restaurants would do that. Had a great time there, will come back!

Stopped in on a rainy Monday for dinner. The staff was extremely welcoming. Had a pint, and ordered the Steak and Ale Pie. It came out piping hot and delicious! Also had the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and it was lovely! Would definitely recommend a stop if you are in the area.

Probably the worst pub management I've seen, or should I say "lack of management" instead! We booked a table for 5 people a week in advance to watch the rugby. When we arrived, the table with our name was for 4. The waitress did not know what to do, "I can give you an extra chair". That would have been okay if there wasn't a table right next to us...She dissapeared, not kknowing how to handle it. We had to sort it out by speaking to another costumers who kindly swapped with us. There was no apology from staff regarding this whatsoever.Half of the selection of beers were not available. This was a rugby match day...on a Saturday..!! The pub wasn't even busy, yet the wait to order anything at the bar was ridiculous! We got told when we ordered food that it would take up to an hour and that the kitchen was open until 10pm.The food when it arrived, was quite nice despite the long wait. However when we went to order more food at around 16h, the waitress at the bar said that the kitchen closed at 16.45...But we were told that the kichen was open non-stop until 10pm? Anyway, it was 16.10h, couldn't they make our food in 35 minutes? since we just wanted some chips? Then another member of staff overheard us and said that there was only one chef and that he was there all day long and that he needed a break.I asked her "so can we order food now or not?". Their answer was "there is no chef now".I have never seen this level of bad management in a pub, so unprepared and so unprofessional. It was a Saturday, and it was a rubgy day on a Saturday. If you don't have the capacity to offer what you advertise, you should warn the customers.Definetely not coming back again.

Typical English pub with better food. The menu is actually impressive. We were a table of 15 people and their QR code ordering and payment system worked like a charm. Food was done quick and tasted good. The beyond meat burger was extremely good! Plus they have a well priced option for a burger and sides.Decor could use a bit of a touch up and the gents was quite dirty.

The Jericho was one of our favorite haunts in town, no doubt due to its proximity to some of my closest friends' flat. It's a warm, welcoming, spacious pub. We usually ate elsewhere or cooked our own dinners before coming by, so I can't speak to the food, but the drinks were always on point. I had a special fondness for the bartenders here because they were always happy to strike up a conversation with us.We had lots of laughs - one night in particular, they brought me to tears making fun of what they perceived as oddities in American passports. They also helped us one night when a buddy drunkenly lost his phone in the building. They were patient and good natured, which is about all you can ask of bar staff.Again, if you're not feeling like making new friends, there's plenty of room to spread out with your own social group or even be asocial, if that's what you're wanting. It's a welcoming, fun place, and a little bit more laid back than some of the other pubs around.

Did not have a good experience here. I hate to leave reviews like this but we waited over an hour for two drinks and even longer for food. We were there for two and a half hours having just two courses, which were muchly a disappointment. I was even more upset to pay nearly £4 for this very sad looking side salad

This is a lovely pub in Jericho, with wonderful staff, lovely ambience and good food (and drinks). We visited here on Tuesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the 2-for-1 burger. We chose the Chicken Katsu and Crispy chicken breast burgers. Both of them were tasty. For sides, I will definitely recommend Corn. The sweet corn is one of the best I have ever had. The butter & spices made the corn incredible. Will definitely recommend it to everyone in Oxford.

Booked a table here under the impression they would be doing Sunday roasts as was advertised on their website - a few other tables had done the same, but unfortunately they are only serving burgers currently. The burgers were delicious though.

Friendly staff. Great outdoor area. Easy to use online ordering system. Tasty burger. Great drinks choice. Will certainly return on my next visit to the area.
