Food here is great! Can’t recommend the little quiches enough. Went to kill some time before heading back to the train station and has a lovely window seating and outdoors area to enjoy the weather. Friendly staff and cafe merch for sale ❤️

Beautiful side street location, fantastic quality coffee and delicious food (the Spiced Carrot + Clementine cake was superb). Really great vibe and a cute little suntrap.

Now that Turl St Kitchen next door is no more, there aren't many coffee shops in this part of town...so it's a relief that this one passes muster! Decent coffee, very tasty-looking dishes and a reasonably large outside bench seating area out front.

Excellent coffee and nice cakes. A bit too busy for my liking - but luckily they have a couple of other cafes for me to visit

Unfortunately, after frequenting this otherwise delightful place for over 6 years, I had the most unpleasant experience last Sunday (23 Jan 2022). At 3.10 pm (50 minutes before they closed) a guest and I ordered two coffees and two banana breads to have in. We asked for the banana bread to be toasted (the toaster was in full view) but were told they would not do so because it had been "switched off". When my guest politely asked if it were possible to "switch it back on again" the assistant said they would not do so as it took too long. Hmmm. We proceeded with our order despite this. The assistant then started preparing paper cups for our coffee. We asked for porcelain cups (everyone else inside was drinking from said china cups). We were told, again, no because they were closing in half an hour (in actual fact it was in 50 minutes time). At which point we left and will not, sadly be returning. Why must people be so obstructive. Just goes to sow that in England, it is the staff, not the customers, whose interests are considered to be paramount.

Great coffee, lovely service and banger of a ham and cheese sandwich. Couldn't find a menu online ahead of time, but they had three savoury food options at the counter and a few more sweet baked goods in the shop window. Came for the food/coffee though stayed for the eavesdropping and people-watching.

I have heard a lot of good reviews from missing bean and it is always full so I checked it out twice. Once I only took a brownie to take away because it was full. The brownie was really delicious. The last time I found space inside to sit and ordered a cappuccino and a vegan brownie. The cappuccino was drinkable .. and the brownie .. so disgusting. It had no flavor as if I had Corona. Just eating chocolate calories without a taste on your tongue, what a waste. And sorry but it is super easy to make delicious vegan brownies.

The quality of Missing Bean's coffee is second to none, and on that alone I would have given them five stars. The missing star is because almost every time I've gone there I end up having to get takeaway because there's nowhere to sit. Also, their coffees seem to be quite small (which is infuriating when they are so good)

The weather was rainy and chilly when we visited Oxford, so we really needed some hot drink to warm up our body. When we walked by The Missing Bean, we were appealed by the crowd in the store so we decided to give it a try.The decor is narrow-spaced with limited seating but the ambiance is pretty cozy. There are lots of students gathering there with coffee & pastries. We had their hot latte, the taste was decent and the best thing for me was it’s super hot which was a must for me, especially in this chilly day.

Beautiful Coffee Shop in the heart of Oxford. Skilled Baristas and exceptional coffee. Would recommend if you're in Oxford and looking for specialty coffee with a mellow vibe
