The Oxford Blue in Oxford

Went here with the Magdalen choir after May Morning for lunch. Roast, sides and drinks all exceptional, gregarious waitstaff, somewhat homely atmosphere, and a resident pub dog. Definitely a hidden gem!

Really nice pub, lovely landlady & staff, very cute pub dog - Bonnie the hungry lurcher! Home made pizzas are delicious. Best thing about the Oxford Blue is the really good atmosphere and the spacious feel. Very comfortable. Best pub in Cowley and one of the best in Oxford. Give it a try!

Great late evening meal. Immediately welcomed. Varied menu, good selection of beers and wines. Proper pub atmosphere. Couldn't be better. My two friends from North Oxford (!?) were most impressed. We love Bonnie the hound as well. Already planning a return visit.

Regular user for both food and drinks, excellent food and very friendly staff. Surprised at the one star review as they are usually very accommodating, maybe an off day but possible a self entitled complainer of which there are many who complain unnecessarily about the hospitality business. Just look at the majority of the reviews to get an accurate picture of what this place is about🤔.

Really nice pub. Had a great lunch here, with delicious pizzas and some great lager, sat on really comfy sofas. Lovely pub dog too 😊

Slightly off the beaten track the Oxford Blue has a bit more of a chilled out vibe than many of the other pubs around Cowley road. Combine that with good beer at a reasonable price, and I'm a fan. 😁👌

Brilliant! Worthy of 5 stars in every way. This is not typical pub food but rather excellent cuisine, prepared fresh, and beautifully presented. Cozy. Comfortable. Classic…An English Pub that feels like home. The owners are committed to excellence and the staff is welcoming and friendly. You do NOT want to miss this dining experience. My favorite Oxford pub whether just for a drink or for an amazing meal.

Great little place for a drink. Went in prior to a gig, good selection of beers, staff very welcoming and friendly. Has a great atmosphere our group enjoyed our visit, will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Under new ownership, brilliant menu with plenty of vegan & vegetarian options. I had a fantastic lunch there and the service was second to none. Very happy to have come across this place!
