The Rose in Oxford

A little pricey for cream tea but the scones were the best we ate in Oxford, warm and delicious. Totally recommend!

Lovely informal café in the middle of Oxford for awesome teas, cakes and especially cream tea with homemade scones.

Lovely little Café with friendly staff and a delicious afternoon tea. The house blend tea is a very delicious choice you need to try. Definitely my first place to go to when I'm coming back to Oxford.

Nice, cute little place. Great location. I really liked the hot chocolate and coffee cake. Very quick service.I wouldn't say it's very cheap, but pretty decent prices.The person I was meeting was running a little late, so I had to wait for a while before ordering. The staff were very polite and happily let me wait for half an hour before ordering.

Had scrambled eggs on toast, hubby had the breakfast. Everything cooked to perfection really enjoyed. Lady who served us was really nice. Shame the people who came in made it clear they wanted our table too as we would have stayed longer - kinda rude but guess some people can't help themeselves. It was nice and quiet up untilbthat poiny. Glad we didn't just on by though 😊

Roobio tea took me back to my Zambia days... Vegetarian sandwich had the perfect amount of caramelized onions. The mozzarella sandwich had enough mozzarella cheese for my partner which made her smile... Lox sandwich was a little off but overall the staff's and restaurants ambiance was perfect for our mid-day stop

The scones are utterly divine. Served hot and soft but not crumbling to pieces - it's been delicious every time I've had it. The jam and clotted cream are equally excellent in quality. In my opinion, the scones at The Rose are completely justified in being known as the best scones in Oxford. Compliments to the baker! The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is cosy. A must visit when in Oxford.

Simply the best scones my wife and I have ever experienced. Freshly baked and still warm, we tell everyone about this place for scones! They had a huge selection of teas available as well.

Very nice scones! The server lady was very nice, but the other server man who sat us down was not very welcoming. He didn't say a word to us and didn't smile at all!

Great selection on the menu with great quality food - the salad I had was fantastic, with a lovely dressing and generous helpings of veg. Service was reasonably prompt and very polite. The central Oxford location is fantastic, making this a great café to go to if you're visiting the city.
