Great service, lovely staff, food and great atmosphere

Food takes quite a while, which they told us in advance so we were prepared, but was absolutely delicous. Probably the best pub food we had in Oxford!

Had an amazing evening at the standard. Me and my friends were made to feel very welcome especially Sophie after she served our drinks she even came over to talk to us at one point. The food was also great defo recommend 👌

We came for a light dinner and drinks with our dog the staff are so welcoming and even took time with our young dog who is new to these environments. Dogs are made to feel very welcome with water and treats the family as a whole had a great time can't wait to go back

Went to watch the Euro final here, atmosphere there was fantastic! Food was delicious. Even though the pub was really busy, staff brought drinks around quickly. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the manager in particularly couldn't have done any more to help us enjoy our visit! Will definitely visit again.

Best meat free burger in Oxford. Again please don't pay stupid money at a gourmet burger restaurant. The staff are amazing and I'm writing this review during Covid-19 when we are all still learning the new rules but this place has nailed it. Hand sanitizers everywhere and a real strict policy about using the toilets (again this is a Covid-19 review) the saff are so well trained they explain the new rules like a friend not like an angry traffic warden. Food Televisions. Pool table.Outside dining. What's not to love. Next door to Oxford's most famous monument The Headington Shark (named after Cecilia Shark Rhodes) who knitted the most famous tapestry in the world. Sorry I'm just waiting to run out of my 140 characters like Twitter. Truly a lovely pub.
