Coming from malaysian, the nasi lemak and both beef and chicken rendang tasted exactly like home.. also, the Singapore fried noodle was wonderful as well..

Only ordered a few take-away dishes. The Nasi Lemak was OK but the sambal sauce lacked punch. The Nasi Goreng was dry and tasteless, a difficult dish to get wrong.... very disappointing.Maybe the cook just had an off night, but I will not be returning.

The food was tasty, well prepared and arrives promptly (surprisingly fast actually). Tasted authentic and would recommend the Nasi Lemak and the cereal king prawns for sure, though not so much the Malaysian satay starter; the chicken quality was not great though large portions.Rationale for 4 stars was the inconsistent waiter services: managers appeared to be demotivated, whilst one was good the other was unprofessional (could be due to youth and only our experience). It is slightly on the pricey side, though good portions. If you don’t mind the slightly awkward server interactions and are purely for tasty South Asian food (mainly Mainly Malaysian), this is the place for you.Tips: ask what is Halal (if all are applicable or certain dishes) and if you have any allergy requirements (peanuts are handled in the kitchen).

Compliments to the chef, but this is the first time I’ve had a waiter insist that our starter must not come with our mains ( Reason : He didn’t want our mains to get cold). We went along with his judgment and assurance that “there will be a continuous flow of food”. There wasn’t. When questioned, the explanation was that a large takeaway had arrived. Me and my family watched with hungry tummies, as others who arrived up to 20 mins after us were already finishing their meal.😟

If I was only rating the food I would have given it 5 stars. However, my family and I had to wait 10 minutes for our table after our booking time. Not a huge amount of time but not too good in a small place. Now back to the good stuff. The food was brilliant can't say more. Portions good too. Service was a bit spotty but the staff were friendly and fairly efficient. All in all a very good place to eat.

We visited 1st time to experience their Malaysian satay and Nasi Lemak. The satay needs to be improved a lot more . Overall service was excellent.

I absolutely loved the food at Zheng. It's not easy to find yum Malaysian food where I live and this is one of my favourites since I discovered them thanks to a friend. Everytime I travel to Oxford, I stop by and place a takeaway order to take home with me. The chicken satay skewers are delicious, tender and really flavourful, especially with the peanut sauce. For the mains, I have now tried the Malaysian Chicken Curry, the Beef and Chicken Rendang, the Chicken Mapo Tofu and the Godmother's Chilli Chicken. So far, not one has been a miss and I would struggle to pick a favourite amongst them. Safe to say I would recommend Zheng to anyone I know for a truly tasty meal. It was all so good, I forgot to take pictures once I tasted the chicken satay 😁

Had a lovely dinner with huge tasty portions in Zheng recently. It's not a very cheap place - spent £20 per person there, but we had a starter and a main. Personnel is very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcomed! Would highly recommend as a place to go in Jericho!

Food is exceptionally good, and comes very quickly. The missing star is for the decor and weird behaviour of staff... they all seem on the edge and behave in a strange way. If you don't mind the quaint decor and weird servers it is a good place for oriental food. Expensive though.

I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Zheng on the first night of my UK Trip with my colleagues. All of my 5 colleagues ordered the chef's choice menu, while I went for the ala-carte options. I ordered the Malaysian Satay Chicken Skewers and Grilled Duck Dumplings for the starters and the fabulous Nasi Pattaya for the main course which was simply incredible, adequately spiced and with amazing taste. The service was top-notch too. It is a definite must-visit place for every Asian food lover visiting Oxford. Go for it!
