Golden City in Portsmouth

Very polite on phone but horrendous delivery times..over an hour to travel less than a mile..wont be using again

Always really good food, can be quite busy on weekends & the wait can be a little longer than usual but always worth it! Friendly staff & very good service.

Ordered from here last night for my bday. Use to go here sometime ago to collect and always excellent but now they deliver in our area and it was just as good as it was then. Now we have our regular again. Thanks GC 👍

I am embarrassed to admit that I’ve tried every Chinese in Cosham, multiple times :-) However Golden City is by far my favourite. Never had a bad experience or bad meal. Also a plus that they’re now open 7 days a week.

We are out of the area, staying in an air bnb and fancied a Chinese takeaway. This place was right across the street so was perfect! We could see a queue outside so thought it must be popular and we were not disappointed! The food was piping hot and cooked to perfection. Not one bad thing to say about this place!

Always come here if I fancy a curry, chicken fried rice or chicken balls... I do need to try some others really.

Love the hot and spicy crisps chicken. Number 5 on their menu. Never disappointed. Previously only ever had chicken chow mein however now enjoy number 5 more.

Good food at reasonable prices. Wouldn't give it 5 stars and hope there are better Chinese take aways locally. But overall have enjoyed the food here. Little over priced for quality. Wasn't too keen on the Chinese curry. Very good value since comes with rice or chips. Went for large with mushrooms. Maybe just not to my taste. But usually enjoy every Chinese curry I've tried before. Will definitely use again though..... EDIT changed from 4 to 3 stars as a few times told 10 to 15 minutes wait and end up waiting in shop for extra 10 to 15 minutes and food is average and high msg. 2 of the reviews are by the same person obviously linked with the Chinese. ...... 1star

Really tasty takeaway. Lovely Chinese food.Great value for money as well. Curry deal really good value.Vegetable sides also good value and super tasty!Went to order in shop and collect and staff very friendly.My new go to place for Chinese food in Portsmouth when i'm there.Always good.
