Good family pub excellent food.

We were a party of 4 first in . Set up tab ordered drinks and food . Over an hour later and watching other people getting served first I complained and asked where our meals were . 20 minutes later we were served . Dinner was OK only . Ordered cheesecake which came served Hot with ice cream. Awful ! Will not be going again . Also back of toilet seat was filthy .

Main point is the food is well priced, managed to have a main meal for the same price as a Wetherspoons in the pub classics deal. Great quality and presentation of food and the staff were friendly too. Well worth a visit.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. They made us feel very welcome. We all enjoyed our meals & will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

I've just held my daughter's gender reveal here and all I can say is WOW.The manager Kirsty was so kind & friendly, not to mention approachable. The Chef Gabby did an amazing job with the food and getting it all out on time. The bar & waiting staff were also very hard working and friendly. We really were made to feel so welcome and comfortable there. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you all so much for everything. We'll definitely be back xxxxx

Food is excellent, prices good service and staff excellent. Well recommend the steak ale pie had 3 times now and as good as the first one 🍺

Food is generally quite good but they never have everything you want. There's always something they've run out of! Happens every time we go! Basic things that could be got in the local supermarket like coleslaw! Food that is available is good though and staff are always very pleasant and friendly x

Nice Pub Pleasant staff and you don't get ripped off buying a drink (like in most pubs & bars in Portsmouth) if you are the designated driver . The Christmas meal we had was very enjoyable and plenty of it

Yes not bad Good Food drinks was ok but he is obviously being kept well a nice friendly atmosphere

Unfortunately a poor review and I remembered it use to be a good pub.Came in around 3pm and i could notice that it was all clean, tidy and quiet. All in all it was very well presented. Went to the loo and again it was very clean and well Maintained. Hence the 2 stars.I had ordered my drink from the app at 1530 and waited for 19min while the staff hadseveral quick chats and the occasional customer who came up to the bar.As I was prepared to go and ask where my drink was I saw a lady behind the bar finish pouring it. She then saw me and asked if I was OK to take it from the bar. Not even an apology.I don't write reviews often but the staff do need that bit more training if they're like this and this is the fastest way to get that across
