Kadir's Indian Street Food in Portsmouth

Amazing service as soon as you walk in, the food is outstanding as they cook like they do at home. The chef came and spoke to us at our table to make sure everything was okay. Highly recommend this restaurant.I would always come back this is gonna be my regular spot and recommend it to my friends 🙏🏽

Went to Portsmouth on bank holiday weekend and kids wanted to eat Indian food. We found Kadir’s restaurant. Excellent service and absolutely delicious food. Team respected our individual choices and were happy to make changes like more hot or less hot.I would definitely recommend everyone to go there and enjoy delicious food in very good ambiance.

Amazing food and great service. Hands down the best Indian restaurant in Portsmouth. Lots of vegan options to choose from and the menu has a great choice of Indian Street food you may not find at your normal Indian restaurant. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Will be coming here again. Make sure to bring your own drinks with you as they don't have an alcohol license.

After storm Eunice hit we fancied a biriani on our visit to Portsmouth. I scoped out a few places on this road and went with Kadir's. Yummy😋!. The food was fragrant and tasty, the chef prepared the dish perfectly to my liking. I will go back for a sit down meal next time.Staff were friendly too, which is always nice. ☺️

Some of the best Indian I've had in a long time, portion of curry could've been bigger and it seemed only my dish was lacking compared to my companions. The onion Bhaji's were lovely and crispy. It is BYOB so make sure you pack a few Stella's for the road

very impressive especially to accommodate 7 of us. Food came out in good time and tasted fantastic.Staff were highly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Allowed us to bring our own alcohol and then provided us with glasses which is always a bonus.Highly recommend

It started with a big warm welcome by the chef/ owner as we walked in. So many restaurants and retailers simply forget to look up as a customer walks in and say hello, not tonight and not at Kadir. This is then followed by an evening of great authentic Indian vegetarian dishes. Pretty much found our favourite high street indian.

Worst experience ever. We ordered by watching some good reviews but seems like it’s fake.There wasn’t any taste in paneer tikka role except raw taste of paneer, onion and some sweet spread and had to throw that in bin just after taking a single bite. I would definitely not recommend to any of my friends. Even dal tadka was without any tadka😂,Please work on it

Hidden Gem!This place is a must for all who want lovely Indian cuisine in a unique setting. Kadir brought us the most delicious vegan blend of authentic spiced deliciousness! The dishes went together perfectly. Can't wait to return! Don't miss out. Very reasonable and take your own drink. Service excellent.

Wow! On my way home this evening I popped into Kadir's for a takeaway, how glad I am that I have finally made it to a place that I have been keen to visit for years. I asked for them to choose my meal and I was given a delightful, delicious new food experience, I could actually taste the individual aromas and flavours of each spice and herbs in my beautiful just right proportioned meal.The chef asked to serve the starter (Pani Puri Shots) in the restaurant, it had never occurred to me before but street food is really designed for being eaten immediately and not for packaging and carrying home. It was wonderful, a delicate explosion of flavour with a lovely crisp shell. The main meal I took home was equally well cooked, a wonderful balance of flavour and texture. The food here is most definitely worth a try, I certainly hope to be back soon and will probably eat in with friends as I need to share the good experience.
