Extremely unhappy with deep blue taking over food taste rubbish I ordered hallumi bits and I got 3 cod bit I'm a vegan will not go back

Great fish and chips, nicely cooked - big portions - didn't have to wait too long. My mother claims to be a fish and chips expert and she liked them a lot, especially the cups of mushy peas. Handy car park if your getting a take away. We drove back down Southampton Road at bit and enjoyed them outside sitting on a bench watching the sea. Always the best way ... and the seagulls behaved as well to add to the experience.

Had an excellent meal here. Fish was cooked to perfection. The fish was moist with a real crispy batter. Well done to Charlie the chef.The service was quick and efficient and the restaurant was run well by Jill and Lynda.Definitely a regular now at this traditional fish and chip restaurant.

Brought 2 x sausage in batter, chips. When you bite into the sausages them burst into loads of grease and oil, vile...... The chips go cold very quickly and are very dry anyway. Twice I've been there now and had same issues. Bad food, avoid this place through experience. And prices are high. Something NEEDs to be sorted out, otherwise you will lose customers which is bad for business

My grandson and I love this restaurant the staff are so friendly and it's genuine. The food is fresh and extremely tasty the cost is reasonable too. We highly recommend you eat here.

Absolutely shocked and disgusted at the service from the apparently 'assistant manager'/chef who was totally rude to me. I arrived at 20.30 and asked for a battered sausage, fish cake, and chips. I was told no cooking is done after 20.30!! (Even though they don't close til 9pm. He complained to me that he had to switch the pans on again and I'd have to wait 10 minutes! I was dished up with overcooked scrappy chips! This lad who was cooking told me on no uncertain terms that in future, to take note that no cooking was going to be done after 20.30 otherwise he doesn't get home til 10pm!! Lol.... find another job mate! You're behavior towards customers is utterly disgusting! He then had the nerve to ask me what my problem was!!

Excellent meal of fish and chips in the restaurant.Fish was fresh and moist with lovely crunchy batter.Excellent value, cooked well by Charlie.Phil, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful as I am in a wheelchair and needed help being seated.Jill, the waitress was most polite and quick to serve.Well done all

Great service and friendly staff as usual but my goodness the quality of the food has gone off a cliff.... 3 medium cods only 1 of which was the usual size and not mostly brown batter. We've been enjoying the food from here for >15years and it has really gone down hill lately Sad to see. Will be shopping around now.

I wouldn't usually write a bad review, however. I have just paid £9.50 for this! It's ment to be a regular size cod and chips absolutely disgusted by the size of this portion for the price I have just paid. Soggy batter just stuck to the bottom of the box. Chips are alright but when I asked for sauce, they were happy to charge £0.39 pence per sachet. Such a shame. I won't ever be coming here again, doubt my custom will be missed, I just don't want anyone else falling for this rubbish!

I brought my granddaughter in on Friday. We often visit and have always had lovely food. The meal was terrible. The fish overcooked and batter dark brown and the quality of the fish was so poor. It is usually white and fluffy. The chips I think you have changed the recipe or oil just bad. The portion was huge and we left most of the food! Won’t be coming back unless I see some positive reviews. Such a shame.
