Sunday 19/06/2022 got here Sunday roast. Beef was so soft and flavoured well. Decent amount of vegetables. 4 stars because it was windy but expected it

Great view, my local café/bar . Relaxed atmosphere, but can't charge phone/laptop if like most cafés you want to work there?Simple menu, but regularly updated and happy there are vegan options. However, the food can be bland, so would be nice with herbs and spices added and healthier bread options. E.g. sourdough.Good value price wise.Friendly staff .Thank you

Very nice, clean restaurant and, important to us, dog friendly,Excellent food, drinks and service at good prices,

·

Clean bar, welcoming staff and a decent basic menu. The food was well cooked and presented and a post lunch drink in the sun looking out over the marina ended a very enjoyable lunchtime.

Fabulous lunch here today. Sun shining, attentive staff and loved the smoked mackerel salad. Hubby had the pizza, half of which he had to have boxed for later

Now I really enjoyed my crispy belly pork and veg but the other diners didn't enjoy their meal selection as much. Based on my experience its a solid 4

The Marina Bar do a cracking breakfast, from smashed avocado on toast to various sizes of full English. The latter features a quality sausage and really splendid bacon served with various items, such as black pudding, depending on the size of breakfast ordered. We've had breakfast on many occasions and been for evening meals, as well, and every one has been great. The surroundings are lovely, too - there's nothing quite like eating while gazing out over a marina. There's a large seating area outside with tables, too, which is lovely in the warmer, longer evenings. Highly recommended.

I had the chicken wrapped in bacon. The chicken was a bit tough, mash potatoes and vegetables were delicious. Mushroom sauce very tasty. Chocolate torte for sweet, yummy. Only scored 4 because of the chicken..

Great cafe with good menu choices. As well as serving tea at cake. Outdoor sitting is also available. Great views of the marina. Service is A1 with friendly staff. Highly recommended.

If you want a relaxed atmosphere with no frills, basic and rustic food without all the pretentious service of gastro pubs, this was great! As the british pub gets decimated and turned into gastro pubs everywhere, there are rarely many with good atmospheres left. This makes no pretence at being anything other than a marina bar. It serves simple rustic food and fish because it's near the sea. I had a pizza which was very nice and i know you can get lots of types of beer and alcohol. I went on the hottest day of the year and sat outside looking over the marina! Lovely site. Lovely sea smells too. The atmosphere was friendly with a mix of people there - dockyard workers, local couples and people who owned boats. The servers and bar staff were friendly, warm and down to earth without all the pretentions of gastro pub servers! I would definitely recommend walking along the esplanade to this place after a day on southsea beach!
