This is one of Southsea's hidden treasures: great home-cooked food, great value and friendly, chatty owners. The pasty was delicious and the salad freshly made. We'll be back to try out the rest of the menu soon! 5 stars *****

Thank you, Mel for our wonderful cream tea boxes. We had a family party to celebrate the life of my father and the boxes were a huge success. Everyone commented on the beautiful food and the presentation. We shall definitely use Melody’s again.

Quality food, exceptional service from staff who cater for everyone's needs. Melody provided an amazing picnic last weekend to celebrate my dad's 84th birthday. We were a group of 16 family and friends ranging from 11 to 90 years celebrating this special occasion. The picnic was absolutely perfect and thoroughly enjoyed by all. There was a brilliant range of sweet and savoury foods, plenty for everyone and absolute quality. This is the place to go if you want homemade food which is tasty and varied where the staff genuinely care about catering to your needs. We travelled from all over the country to meet up in Portsmouth/Southsea and the best part of the weekend was definitely the picnic. My dad, Ken Reynolds said this was the best birthday he has ever had! Thank you Melody and your team. You made our weekend even more special!

Wow what can I say but another great buffet delivered for my birthday . Great selection and so fresh , sandwiches , quiches , dips , cakes , scones , also a selection of vegan with a selection of vegan dips . If anyone has a function then go nowhere else , you will not be disappointed

Fab food and service. We called into Melody’s today with my mother, who’s in a wheelchair. The staff could not have been more helpful, in accommodating us and our differing food orders. We had sandwiches, quiche, cakes and tea, all were absolutely delicious. The place was spotless and the staff were lovely and very friendly. We enjoyed the food so much, we ordered takeaway to have for our tea. Highly recommended.

I ordered the Savoury Mixed Platter today for my sons 17th birthday for four of us, as all stuck indoors due to ‘lockdown’.It was lovely & so much better than I could have expected. Lots of it, great selection of sandwiches, savoury bites, sausages rolls and bhajis etc. All good quality ingredients and fresh. Melody delivered it & supplied plates & napkins at no extra cost.I asked for no tomatoes and that was not a problem.Reliable and fantastic value for money. Would definitely recommend and order from her again.

Had a takecaway afternoon tea box ...wow...sandwiches I wanted all homemade food . Service was amazing .nothing was to much trouble. And the price was a 3rd cheaper than anywhere else. Do please try u will not be disappointed. Thsnk u to all the staff
