Nemrut in Portsmouth

Fairly average for the pricetag.Visited for a birthday party and unfortunately felt like they took advantage of our party, four of us dined there and despite the friendly start, things went a tad sour when we asked for a birthday surprise, thought they would do a little cake with a candle, instead a shot which cost £3.50! That and they nearly set fire to our table in the process.Had to argue over this as no mention of cost or what it was, bearing in mind our bill was over £150 anyways, it was a tad cheeky.Eitherway, the food was pretty good, not outstanding but serviceable for the price.

A pleasant experience. You get a small appetizer of olives, sauce and bread to start. I had the stuffed eggplant which was a bit too oily for my liking. You get a small dessert also to end the meal.

We thought that Turkish food would be boring....Wrong!We came here in December and again in February. Served both times by a lovely chap called Ali. He was funny and nice to talk to... Not afraid to poke fun at us and take it back in return.The food was genuinely really nice (amazing). My wife who was not the most keen on chicken and lamb, decided that this was now her favourite Restaurant...The food was lovely. We will make sure we come back when we can.The baklava... Amazing.

I recommend Nemrut Restaurant to absolutely anyone and everyone. Beyond happy with the first time experience I had there today. The food was AMAZING , and to top it off the staff was friendly and funny and all round amazing people to be around when having dinner on a Sunday night. EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TRY THIS RESTAURANT AT LEAST ONCE!!! Thank u to all the staff from the bottom of my heart for the costumer service today! Can’t wait to visit again!

First visit. We both chose the Karniyarik (stuffed aubergine) and it was delicious! Very filling so we decided not to have dessert. The service was friendly throughout and we will be back to try some other dishes.

We visited this restaurant for the first time at the weekend, after finding it through an Internet search, as we wanted to eat before going to the theatre. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very clean and simple. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu offers so much choice and they were also willing to adapt it to suit my dietary requests. We enjoyed hot starters and a main course each. The meals came out in good time, hot and were delicious. When we are back in town again, we will certainly be coming back. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

Lovely food, excellent service and really friendly staff. They looked after me very well when I was working at the nearby theatre, food was always delicious and served very quickly.

Amazingly great food, loved the cold mixed meze and the Turkish mixed grill. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a lovely ambience in the restaurant. The food is cooked over real charcoal in front of you. great value and great taste. Definitely worth a trip
