Good pret with friendly staff. Well stocked on food and efficient with making the drinks.

I think this Pret is often misjudged by people. At times it's very quiet and the orders are delivered quickly by a smiley, welcoming crew. Because of the lack of people it's easier to hear your order and the staff have the time to call it out a few times (something they shouldn't have to do) if someone doesn't grab their order. However, when it's busy, it's a different story. The staff- godsends, all of them- are absolutely rushed off their feet, swamped with orders from both the customers and orders coming through from Deliveroo. It's a wonder they remain so hospitable and calm, and definitely deserve some form of extra renumeration for their efforts (I'm sure Pret's big bosses can handle it). The real issue seems to be the customers not listening out for their orders, they pay for them and then go and sit down, or seemingly stand there and ignore it, eventually storming to the counter and demanding why their order hasn't been made yet. I'm in Pret 5-6 days a week and this is a consistent issue that seems to be a real blight on the staff being able to do their job.Starbucks way of doing things, placing names on cups, wouldn't work I imagine due to the difference in how Pret makes drinks; offering receipts with order numbers so customers can collect the order by its number would also pose problems I imagine, not to mention the waste of paper it would generate. There has to be a solution to make things easier for the staff. If any of the staff are reading this, please know how grateful some of us are to you for being so smiley and positive even during times of mania- I hope the bosses sort something out to improve things, or the people of Gunwharf start using their common sense to listen out for their orders.

Great coffee, would come back again

Place good, food good but spoiled by ghastly wooden knife and fork. Ok not plastic (✅) but the fork couldn’t penetrate a slice of cucumber, the knife couldn’t cut anything so my meal had to be torn and mashed apart totally spoiling aesthetic. Also wood in the mouth???? Nails scraping a blackboard ++ for me.

One of my favourite Prets in the south. A lovely girl by the name of Kaomy or Jaomy is always very pleasant and cheerful with us. 10/10

Pret was always our favorite coffee shop, but lately it has really gone downhill with lack of customer service when there was a problem, pastries over cooked, orders served wrong. It's a shame as the company seemed to have good ethics before

The early close is a weird one but I'm sure adequate reasoning. They could really do with taking names for drinks orders, the takeaway coffee is a bit of a nightmare when 4 people order the same thing and nobody knows who it's for

Overall Pret it's a nice place where to spend time. However and personally I always clean my table after I have drunk my coffee. 3 stars because if you want s sandwich in addition of a coffee you need to pay extra money because you eat in. Why this extra money? What is the reason? Feeling annoyed about this extra without a proper service ...

Such a wide range of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. It's a great interior with booths, tables, and comfortable seats. To purchase food you select it from the fridges, decide whether you want to eat in our take away and then pay for it at the counter.

I do like it here. Almost TOO many things I like, so hard to choose! I had a falafel thing with beetroot hummus. Was very good. Also chocolate mousse. (Or moose as they call it!)
