Good traditional pub catering for Pompey fans on matchdays. Only let down by poor service at the bar. Hopefully was a one off, so will give it another go.

Came down to Portsmouth for the England vs Germany game and found this little place! What a great pub it is, great atmosphere and service, the bargirl was really attentive and never let out glasses run dry. They even gave everyone complimentary pizza which was a great touch! Lovely pub and best of all great beer!

Great pub with nice atmosphere and lovely beer garden . Great experience on pompey match days to which is a meeting point before and after games . Good food available in the serving hatch at the rear of the pub . Great lager and ale selection reasonably priced so a must go to pub to soak up the atmosphere before games .

Nice quiet pub but the landlord/lady make it well worth a visit. Even giving my brother-in-law a bottle of champagne to celebrate his wedding

any pub that offers proper mild gets my vote as a top boozer, also has a great beer garden

Has changed over the last year- going for a different type of customer and clientele- I wish the new owners luck with their venture. It has a good sized garden area and if you want a quiet place to drink then it is worth a visit

Fantastic pub. Great beers, well looked ofter beer garden. Friendly landlord. They do a freshly cooked roast on a sunday and a snack menu with burgers Fri and Sat. A great inner city pub.
