Was really impressed with this little cafe. There is lots of choice of food and drinks. We had breakfast here after getting off the ferry. We were lucky enough to get a table straight away. The portion sizes were brilliant and the quality of the food was pretty good. There was a que to get in when we left about 10.30am on a Sunday.

I used to like this place, but today I was very disappointed. I ordered a fish finger wrap, and requested lettuce inside the wrap, to which I was told they always put that in it. Got home, nothing, just two small fish fingers in a wrap. Also, in the past, I used to get a small green salad and side of slaw with sandwiches and wraps. Not today. On top of this disappointment, I was charged an extra pound, 6.25, their menu says 5.25. What the heck!

The staff here are lovely. Friendly and chatty. Sadly, the battered cod and chips, both fried from frozen were disappointing. The fish so overcooked it was dessicated and had all but disappeared under its impenetrable deep brown coat. I assume the mushy peas were microwaved as my first tentative taste led to a nuclear heated paste sticking to the roof of my mouth, leaving a big blister that took four days to heal. I hate to leave a totally bad review so I will add that the cafe is clean, prettily decorated and very nice to sit in. Lastly, I will just offer the warning, if you have mushy peas leave them for a good five minutes before tasting as they were actually nice later.

Best cafe in town. First came here nearly 40 years ago when daring. Still coming with extended family. Staff lovely and friendly and breakfasts are the best.

Large breakfast cooked well apart from fresh tomato could of done with being cooked longer bit cold .Open sandwich very small only one small slice of soda bread unfortunately not toasted , avocado out of fridge very cold in contrast to poached eggs … bacon crispy but minuscule.Coffee nice . All in all ok but not great

Great atmosphere. Come here every time I visit my Autie & Uncle in Portsmouth. Lovely breakfasts at great prices. They have real yummy hot chocolates too. One of my favs. Staff are always polite & friendly. Really welcoming place.

The best place to be when the weather is not that great, you can have your favourite comfort food and watch the ships go by.It’s a really nice location and the views are amazing, but the menu and food choices let it down. I would love to see few healthy alternatives, yes they do have gluten free cakes and I also like their scones. But the real challenge is trying to find a table by the window 😹.

The fish and chips were really crispy and tasty. Their mash potato was great too. Very friendly service. Fast and fantastic food.
