Best curry takeaway ever!!! We won't go anywhere else. Just so tasty every dish me and my partner have tried.

We were using another Indian but all of a sudden we had things missing, bill wrong and food going downhill, so we decided to find somewhere different, second time using new taj mahal, great food and service good. Everything we've had to date was lush, so enjoyable and tasty, we will continue to use 😋

Appalling customer service, ordered on their website received a receipt for the order, waited an hour and 10 mins - no delivery. Called after an hour and a half to be told they didn't even have our order even though we had a receipt and had paid by PayPal, eventually they hung up on us - great customer service avoid, avoid avoid! Shame as we have been customers for years.

Always lovely, hot, tasty food. Rapid delivery. Best Indian food in town.

Had a really nice takeaway. Garlic chilli tikka one of the nicest Indian Curry's I have had in a while. And open late so a life saver for someone In my industry will definitely order again.

Ordered a Goan chicken and a chicken jalfrezi today and was absolutely gorgeous!! Very hot and fresh, we also had mushroom rice, chips, plain naan and poppadoms!!! Highly recommend! Never fail to please 👍😁😁Unfortunately today 15/10 have just ordered a goan curry/pilau rice and chips and feel very disappointed! The chips were cold and very over cooked, almost black in colour! The lid had come off the curry and was all squiged in resulting in cold curry!! Very disappointed today unfortunately!! 😥😥😥😥

Been eating from here for 30 years. Always been consistently amazing curries. One of the very first curry shops to open in portsmouth, back in the day.

Wonderful food - the Green Masala sauce was exquisite - and enormous portions. Polite and pleasant service. This restaurant does not serve alcohol, though you can bring your own without corkage charge. All in all a great place to eat. Our experience was marred by the arrival of a group of five very unpleasant and noisy drunks, but you can't blame the Taj for that.

First time I ever used this place, my son and I were not impressed. The order took around 40 minutes to arrive, which was just about acceptable, but the quality of the food was mediocre to poor, lots of sauce and small amounts of meat/chicken. Nan bread did not appear fresh either. After eating, my son's stomach was upset and mine was not so good either. Will not use again
