Excellent food. Had the fish tacos. My wife had gluten free battered haddock. We had battered chilli's and pickles. Original and satisfying. Sensibly prices and excellent service. Would recommended.

Best fish and chips in the area, fresh chips, fish had tasty crispy batter, not spongey and soggy like others.

Serves tradition fish & chips with a modern twist. The fish was delicious as was the fishcake. Would recommend booking a table as the seating area is quite small. There as only one person front of house who had to deal with seated customs and takeaway orders. He dealt with everything admirably, but really should have had more help.

It's certainly not the worst chippy ever but definitely not one of the best unfortunately. They are fully gluten free so this is a massive plus if you have a gf person in your party as there's no chance of cross contamination. We ate in, so it was lovely to have a glass of white wine with the fish. It's worth noting they do have lots of extras such as cockle popcorn, whitebait and vegetarian options too. Was also nice to see they had a specials board with freshly caught seafood.

My girlfriend is frankly a nightmare over fish and chips. She has THE highest expectations ever. Thankfully this isn’t just another chippy. It’s decorated in a really nice style- no grubby long-since-white plastic counters here. The outstanding presentation carrying through to the bag, boxes and sauce pots (try the curry sauce by the way- I’ve never had better, including this place in Cornwall with a TV Chef’s name over the door) is a great touch. As was the delightful way the lady in front of house and the gentleman cooking served us.It was freshly cooked food but genuinely fast too. The batter was crispy and tasty over really delicious cod, and there was just the right amount of batter too. The chips were fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. Outstanding care was clearly taken to make this food really sing. The downside for me is that I have a food instagram page and forgot to take a photo to share there because the food distracted me, the upside is I’ll make a point of coming back for one. What I also must praise is that despite supply setbacks, staffing setbacks and the general difficulties every food establishment is facing, this lovely fish and chip shop is really waving the flag of quality for one of our national dishes.Under £15 per person including sauces as of 13/04/22 and worth every last penny.

Great fish and chips, great service, what more do you need! Thanks to Kez and the rest of the team for a lovely family sit in meal. Fish, sausages and scampi were all delicious. Chips were just right. Sauces on the side topped it off nicely. Will be returning for another visit.

Went to this place very recently.I think the staff at the till could have been friendlier and more helpful. Like they were going through the motions without being genuinely friendly. It's the little things that count and you could see that they weren't prepared to accommodate much. The cooking staff at the back open kitchen, were a bag of smiles, also not friendly, maybe they were having a difficult day. Also, be prepared to pay 50p for a packet of ketchup or mayonnaise. That's another £2 added to your bill if you order 4 packets, which I think, just the principle of having to pay for these kind of things is extortionate. Why not just have a bottle of ketchup like other places and let customers put it on their chips, rather then trying to milk the customer.I wouldn't say that this place is anything special. Have had better fish and chips elsewhere. Overall, average.

First time here. Friendly staff. First time trying Cockle popcorn and it taste interestingly good but I haven’t tried it before so I have nothing to compare with. Fried cod was good as well as it’s not greasy and you still taste the fish. There is room for chips to improve though, a bit tasteless.

Very disappointed. Ordered a takeaway. Ordered a haddock and a cod, which were supposed to be large. They were both different sizes, but you couldn't tell which was what. Both were so very thin. The cod was £9 and the haddock was £12. Both were tasteless and you really could not tell the difference. I will not be ordering from them again. Very overpriced.
