The George Inn in Portsmouth

Good old fashioned British pub with plenty of friendly staff & punters. We met some real characters here & enjoyed having a few beers meeting new people. Proper pub , do yourself a favour & sink a few there

Lovely Roast lunch! Everything was just right! Me and the misses enjoyed every bite 😋, nice place polite and helpfull staff. Good ambiance, Recommend it all day.

A very nice place where we stayed during our visit to sites upon Hadrian’s Wall. Lovely staff, lovely meals (both breakfast and dinner), beautiful scenery, and spacious rooms! Chesters Roman Fort is only 7 mins away and easily accessible by walk.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay here. So conveniently located just across the road from the dockyard. Really good food- homecooking not fancy- and goodbeer. Hosts Paul and Nikki are delightful. Would certainly stay here again.

Had a roast dinner, super yummy couldn't manage a desert even though I wanted one. Staff very friendly and helpful

Very friendly pub, lots of locals, a good old fashioned bar, definitely recommend.

From check in to check out, every member of staff were fabulous, great hospitality, and the food was amazing. We stayed here to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary, super location for all the attractions and the car park was just across the road. We can't recommend highly enough. Thanks again to all at The George Hotel, we hope to see you again next year 😊😊😊
