Very good pub, food good I liked the guest beer Red kite, and excellent service. Very noisy but great atmosphere.

Weatherspoons has a certain clientel: seasoned day drinkers, students ( who also day drink but are not seasoned in the finer arts such as not spilling your pint) and random individuals looking for a quick meal. Despite being with my academic daughter, we fell into the latter catagory. I am more than happy with a fast food outlet but it was decided to have a 'meal'.There is an unmistakable heady aroma of stale ciggarettes and urine as you enter the premises. I may have been able to over look this if it was 2am saturday morning rather than lunchtime on a Thursday. To avoid several rowdy group of drinkers, the stench of the door way and the smoking area we moved into the bowels of eating area. Walking through I realised that there are no families eating here, it is a very adult only centric clientel, whether by design or happenstance, I cannot say and having ankle biters roaming and screaming while you munch on microwaved meals is a personal preference. That is not to say we were not treated to throwing of glasses, temper tantrums, and a cacophony of intelligible shouting. From the look on one patrons face I would not be surprised to learn they required a nappy change. But alas we remained at my daughter's request. The food is basic standard pub grub. Like everything else in life, you order via an app.In a moment of poor judgement I fell for the hype of the 'new' fiesta burger. Beef patty, salsa, guacamole, onion rings and chips.I know Weatherspoons has made cuts but I was surprised to learn they had cut all seasoning. If you have ever wondered what the colour green tastes like, order the Fiesta burger. The gucamole was just smushed avocado. No salt, pepper, lime juice or garlic. The salsa was chopped red peppers which had the consistencey of rubber and tasted lime advocado. The beef patty was a third of the size of the bun. Chips and onion rings were cold - standard for spoons. In a desperate attempt to try and inject flavoring into the meal I raided the condiments but alas, the power of green cut through the ketchup, mayo, salt and pepper. My daughter told me to just get a jacket potato but no, I had get a meal thinking that I would not have to cook later on. What I hadnt accounted for was that the 'green' would ingrain itself into my palette and everything I have eaten since now has a 'green' after taste. We did not stay for dessert. My daughter took pity on me and released me from the spoons experience.

Well managed, cleaning staff should get a medal. This place sparkles, clean tables, toilets and bar. Staff very friendly they know there job and do it well. No used dishes stacked on tables. Well worth a visit.

Was packed & had to wait for a table to empty, ordered food & drinks via the app, they arrive pretty quickly, they were small but ample portions. The only fault I found was in the gents toilets where the toilet cubicles didn't lock and 2 toilets had large gaps between the doors where they had been damaged and a replacement section too small to close the doors.

Lively pub, mix of ages. It's a spoons so food and drink are good value. Very good manager/ deputy manager Emily . Always professional with a smile on her face .

Went in for breakfast on 28 12, and not many complaints here. Price was very inexpensive, and food was available for family members who were carnivores, vegetarian and plant based. Food arrived quickly, most of it was hot, but some parts of the breakfast were cooler than the plate they'd been put on. Made good use of the free refills on the coffee and left pub happy.

Food was shockingly bad. Thrown on a plate and a tiny portion that was warm at best. Would not eat here again

Good pub to have a pint or a great English breakfast in the morning for cheap. Food is not pretentious but it reflects the relatively lower prices. The bathrooms (upstairs) were decently cleaned, and the space looks very rustic.Due to the covid situation, be wary that you'll need the Wetherspoons app to place orders from!

What is the meaning of life? Is it to enjoy Good food at low prices? Well if that is your personal meaning, do not come here. The food is mediocre at best, and it is rather overpriced for what you get.The only saving grace in this drab restaurant is the fast service and refillable hot drinks.
