I have to say this was probably one of the best brunches we’ve had. The staff were very accommodating upon arrival, they kept the drinks flowing for the full two hours and were friendly helpful. They couldn’t done enough for us. A special mention for the manger who was amazing. It is definitely worth a visit and we would definitely come back.

Vegan butterm1lk ch1cken burger, chips & a soft drink for £10.50 (Mon to Friday lunchtime). Burger was good and nice location at Gunwharf Quays. Overall, good value & worth a visit

We had friends down and thought we'd stop here for some lunch. Bad mistake. Ordered our food and after waiting half an hour went to see where our order was to be told there was at least a 40 minute wait, which we weren't informed of when ordering. When the food eventually turned up after 45 minutes, we ordered sandwiches which on the order was described as having salad with it. The salad consisted of some red onion with some butter beans. The bread was hard in places, it had probably been sat on the side. The fish finger sandwiches were cold, and as for the ham and cheese toastie as you can see it was anaemic. The girl serving asked what sauces we required and then forgot about us as she served others. Would never go here again.

Absolutely appalling. Ordered the cheese sandwich on granary bloomer. I got brown, very cheap bread with no butter. Filling to the middle to look like there is some. Triple cooked chips 😂 They should really go to Tesco and buy in some decent sandwiches

So we went out to a leaving do and expected a lot after being recommended this place. I like a pizza when I have a drink and am a meaty person so I went for what they call MEAT YOUR MATCH. Well I'd call it BRING YOUR OWN MEAT really for a hole pizza I got 5 slices of pepperoni which makes it less than one per slice the rest of the meat i don't even know what it supposed to be.. just shocking. But hey not only that the bottom was burned and the pic shows the best looking part as no one wanted to share theirs for this review. The pizza was a bit tasteless, the sauce tastd like just a straight up tomato puree and I got no sauce with it or was asked if I wanted any. I ate it as it took long enough for me to almost go to Tesco Express outside and grab a meal deal. Music wise it was a bit too loud for me but everyone enjoy different volumes. Based on the wait, the food I'll probably never return there. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Came here for lunch and choose this place because of the lovely location, and we were not disappointed. There was a good sized menu to choose from for food and loads of drinks to choose from at the bar. The lovely barlady even made recommendations for drinks which was helpful. The service was quick and friendly and food tasted really nice! It was all reasonably priced too which was a bonus. The only criticism was the fact that on the day 2 different meals on the menu we wanted to have were sold out despite us having lunch early (about 12.30), so we had to have something else. Despite this we were not disappointed and the food tasted really good, even if it wasn't what we originally wanted.I would recommend coming here for food and drinks! I'll be coming back for sure.

After a great weekend in Portsmouth enjoying good food and drink we made the mistake of going to the Liquorist for afternoon drink and bite to eat. The serving staff were great, polite and helpful but the food was awful. The menu read well but the food that turned up bore no resemblance to the description. It's been quite a while since I've had a bad burger as most places realise how easy it is to make a tasty mouthwatering one without breaking the bank, and guess what, it brings customers in. See photo for the Liquorist version, dry cheap bun, burnt cheap burger, a few scraps of lettuce and unbelievably, a slice of plastic cheese!!! And it was cold!! The Triple cooked chunky chips turned out to be half cooked, soggy cheap frozen chips! That's not all. My girlfriends Caesar salad turned out to be a bowl of chopped lettuce with a boiled egg cut in half and a squirt of cheap dressing! They couldn't even be bothered to grate some parmesan on.Management came over and refunded for the burger, but, for god's sake, an edible version of this sort of food is not difficult or expensive to produce! A few decent ingredients, pay and educate your catering staff so they care how it goes out to the customer.Liquorist management, I'm sure you would complain if you were served a cold burnt dry burger with a slice of plastic, why serve it to your customers. Penny pinching, money grabbing businesses deserve a bad reputation. I won't be coming back. One star is for the great staff, one star is for location.
